Astronomer HR chief Kristin Cabot spotted with wedding ring and husband before Coldplay concert scandal

BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS: Just days after Astronomer’s HR chief, Kristin Cabot, went viral for cozying up to the company's former CEO, Andy Byron, at a Coldplay concert, newly resurfaced Facebook photos have sparked a fresh round of gasps.
In one snap believed to be from May last year, Kristin is beaming alongside a man identified as Privateer Rum CEO Andrew Cabot and two young children. She is pictured wearing a giant ring.

In a second pic reportedly posted by a relative, Andrew is seen rocking a wedding band too.
While Page Six couldn’t confirm Kristin and Andrew’s marital status, the outlet did dig up property records showing the pair listed as co-residents at a Rye, New Hampshire, address since 2023.
They weren’t just roommates. The duo reportedly purchased $2.2 million four-bedroom, two-story home together just five months ago.
The Cabot legacy
Andrew Cabot, the allegedly jilted husband in this scandal, comes from old money. He’s six generations removed from the person who inspired the foundation of Privateer Rum, also named Andrew Cabot.
The Cabot family fortune was estimated at $200 million in 1972, which clocks in at a jaw-dropping $15.4 billion when adjusted for inflation in 2025. They are said to be part of the ultra-exclusive “Boston Brahmin” New England club that basically ran the region for centuries.
A local poem goes, "And this is good old Boston/ The home of the bean and the cod/ Where the Lowells talk only to Cabots/ And the Cabots talk only to God.”

Their storied lineage made its fortune from a substance called “carbon black," another term for industrial soot used in tires. But the family dabbled in a lot of business ventures, including shipping, merchant trading, and rum. The patriarch, Samuel Cabot, even married into the wealthy Perkins family.
The family’s past also includes involvement in the slave and opium trade during the 19th century. Over the years, they’ve tossed their riches to schools like Harvard, MIT, and the Perkins School for the Blind.
“We’ve been interested in two things — one is marrying rich women and the other is group singing," family heir Francis Cabot once quipped, per the New York Post.
Coldplaygate: The moment it all blew up
Kristin Cabot went viral after she was spotted getting very close to Astronomer CEO Andy Byron during Coldplay's July 16 concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The duo was seen whispering, giggling, and getting chummy, until frontman Chris Martin himself couldn’t help but comment.
“Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy,” Martin joked to the crowd.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that Andy is still married to Megan Kerrigan Byron. However, she removed “Byron” from her Facebook shortly after the infamous video went viral. She also deleted her entire social media footprint, but now appears to have become active once again.
With the rumors spiraling, Astronomer had no choice but to take action. On Friday, both Kristin and Andy were officially put on leave pending a formal investigation into their scandal. In the meantime, Pete DeJoy has been installed as interim CEO.
Kristin has since quietly scrubbed her LinkedIn profile, where she was previously listed as an "advisory board member" for Privateer Rum since 2020. Meanwhile, Andy has handed in his resignation, and it has been accepted by the board of directors, as confirmed by the company.
