Charli XCX's tweet sparked a mixed reaction from her fanbase and caught the attention of Kamala Harris, 59, who embraced the label by incorporating a reference to Charli's new album into her campaign. However, the endorsement didn't sit well with everyone.

Banks, known for her outspoken nature, didn't hold back her criticism, calling the popstar "uninformed and thirsty for attention." Banks, 33, wrote, "Kamala is ABSOLUTELY brat – a drunk, a poser, bad taste in music, party girl, uncultured as hell, thinks we are not drawing the Merck correlations, cliche in every aspect, needs a facelift." She didn't stop there.

Taking aim at the British star, she said, "And now all of a sudden, a non-citizen with tons of problems in her own country due to Brexit, something like 2 out of every 5 children don't have enough to eat. Parliament invaded by KGB anchor babies like eveghead [sic], UK government debt high as hell, that bulls**t phony ass Rwandan refugee deportation scheme. English people worried about not being able to heat their homes this winter."

"Girl, you are uninformed and thirsty for attention, please give it a f*****g break. You haven't a single clue of what life is like for women in America and know nothing about Kamala Harris. Go ahead and pay that 48 per cent California state tax on top of the 30 per cent federal tax. Please be my guest. Don't be too big for your britches, sis. American Girls will absolutely run you out of town," Banks wrote.

The release of Charli's latest album, 'Brat,' in June has ignited a huge social media trend, with people embracing their inner 'brats' this summer. While Charli's post left many newscasters perplexed, Harris fully embraced the message. Within hours, Harris adopted the label, even changing the header image on her campaign's X account, Kamala HQ, to mimic the album's iconic lime green cover.

After Charli shared her post about Kamala, her devoted fans began posting edits featuring montages of the Vice President set to Charli's music. In another interview, Charli described the 'brat' concept as, "It can [be] quite luxury, but it can also be so trashy. Just like, a pack of cigs, and a Bic lighter, and a strappy white top. With no bra. That's kind of all you need."

Internet says react to Banks and Charli political feud

The exchange between Azealia Banks and Charli XCX over Kamala Harris has ignited a flurry of social media reactions.

A social media user commented, "Not an Azealia fan but what does Charli know about American politics???"

A second said, "Me agreeing with Azealia with a lot of things lately….was not on my bingo cards."

A third questioned, "Who are either of these 'singers'?"

"Kamala Harris: attorney, former DA, former Senator, current Vice President: advocates for women's rights and gun control, higher education. Now Azealia is informed," mocked an individual.

"Azealia’s got nothing going on have a seat, girl!!" chimed another.
