Security breach during Barack Obama's family dinner

Barack Obama was sitting in the backseat of the vehicle close to 7.30 pm, when the man, who was said to be a security guard came close to him despite Secret Service personnel guarding the politician.

The outlet later interviewed the armed man and he opened up about the incident. The security guard heard commotion and went out to check why federal agents were outside.

After he walked out in the alleyway from a staircase, he saw two Secret Service agents and a black SUV with Department of Homeland Security plates.

The armed man said that he took images of the vehicle, thinking there would be someone famous, but then saw Obama sitting in the backseat working on a laptop.

He immediately went back and around 30 minutes later his credentials and license to carry a concealed weapon were examined by the Secret Service.

The security guard gave him a clean chit, but the man felt it was "definitely a security lapse on their part that there was no one on the backside of SUV, nor covering the stairwell."

Obama was joined by his daughters Malia and Sasha later for dinner at a popular restaurant.

Internet questions US Secret Service after lapse in Barack Obama's security

Netizens reacted to the report of an armed man walking near Barack Obama's SUV. A few raised concern over compromise on the ex-presdient's safety, while others called it an attempt to distract from Donald Trump's attempted assassinations.

A user commented on X, "What is happening with Secret Service?"

"I call bulls*it!!!! This is to deflect from the valid assassination attempts on President Trump. There is no way in he'll this suddenly happened," another chimed in.

One shared, "So not an assassination attempt at all just blowing smoke and whining for attention..."

"I don’t like Obama, but I don’t want anyone trying to harm him.. the SS is so bad," another questioned the Secret Service's lapse.

One speculated, "Obama’s Secret Service penetrated = inside job to make it seem like they’re not going after Trump."

One wrote, "Other than the Secret Service dropping the ball, this seems like a nothing burger. My dude was just doing his job checking on a possible situation. When he realized what it was he walked away."
