ATLANTA, GEORGIA: President Joe Biden went down the race road during his commencement address at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia.

Speaking to the graduating students of the historically Black all-male college on Sunday, May 19, the 81-year-old said former President Donald Trump and his Republican supporters "don't see you in the future of America," reported Daily Mail.

However, Biden did not directly mention the name of his predecessor or the GOP while addressing the Black graduates, but he brought up the January 6 Capitol attack during the ceremony, making it clear he was warning them about Trump and his allies.

"Insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol with Confederate flags are called patriots by some," the incumbent said, adding, "Not in my house."

This is the first time Biden set foot on campus since the anti-Isarel protests erupted in schools nationwide.

Continuing his remarks on the Capitol insurrection, the president said that Trump labeled the insurrectionists as "patriots" while he called the Black police officers and veterans who protected the Capitol by another name.

Biden argued, "Extremists close the doors of opportunity, strike down affirmative action, attack the values of diversity, equality and inclusion."

"They don't see you in the future of America, but they are wrong," he emphasized. "We know Black history is the American history. We know Black men are going to lead us into the future."

The Democrat seeking a second White House term also delved into Israel's war on Gaza that adversely impacted his administration lately. Admitting the war on Gaza was a humanitarian crisis, Biden promised the students that he heard their voices of protest.

The commander-in-chief's commencement address was met with some protests. Some students turned back, facing away from the president while he gave the speech. In addition, some of them wore Palestinian field pins and keffiyehs. Morehouse College's valedictorian, DeAngelo Jeremiah Fletcher, demanded an immediate ceasefire in Gaza just before Biden spoke.

The president's presence at the historically black college came at a time when his popularity was decreasing, especially among Black voters. According to NBC News, the average of all independent polls published since April 1, Biden had the support of 69% of Black voters, while in 2020, it was 76%.
