Bill Clinton praised Epstein's 'childlike curiosity' in handwritten birthday note, claims WSJ report

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former President Bill Clinton personally wrote a note for Jeffrey Epstein’s 50th birthday album, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.
The handwritten message was one of nearly 50 entries compiled in 2003 by Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate, and included contributions from numerous public figures across politics, business, and fashion.
Clinton’s message stood out as one of the most notable entries in the professionally bound multi-volume collection.
The report adds new details to longstanding scrutiny over prominent figures’ past ties to Epstein, who died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on serious federal charges.

Bill Clinton praised Jeffrey Epstein's 'childlike curiosity' in handwritten note for his 50th birthday
Bill Clinton’s note, reportedly penned in his handwriting, offered a reflective and personal tone.
It seemingly read, “It’s reassuring isn’t it, to have lasted as long, across all the years of learning and knowing, adventures and [illegible word], and also to have your childlike curiosity, the drive to make a difference and the solace of friends.”

A spokesperson for Clinton declined to comment, instead pointing to a previous statement from the former president asserting he had severed ties with Epstein over a decade before his arrest and was unaware of any criminal behavior.
It was further reported that the birthday album was bound in multiple volumes and featured a table of contents, suggesting it was created with considerable planning and intent.
Vera Wang was among those who sent Jeffrey Epstein a note for his 50th birthday

Among the contributors to the album was fashion designer Vera Wang, whose note to Jeffrey Epstein included a lighthearted suggestion that he should be featured as 'The Bachelor', and made mention of a shopping trip.
Other notable names linked to the album include billionaire investor Leon Black, former Microsoft executive Nathan Myhrvold, British politician Peter Mandelson, billionaire media owner Mortimer Zuckerman, former Victoria’s Secret owner Les Wexner, infamous model scout Jean-Luc Brunel, and attorney Alan Dershowitz.

Some entries were accompanied by photographs or drawings, while others included playful or poetic language.
Myhrvold submitted photos from a recent trip to Africa, including animal images such as lions and zebras. A spokesperson said he had no recollection of sending the material but noted that he frequently shares content related to animal behavior.
Donald Trump denies Jeffrey Epstein birthday note claim
Last week, it was reported by WSJ that President Donald Trump had also submitted a letter to the same birthday album. The 79-year-old has since denied the claim and filed a defamation suit against the newspaper, its parent company Dow Jones, two reporters, and Rupert Murdoch.

The contents of the birthday album offer a striking window into Epstein’s expansive social and professional network before his public downfall. The WSJ describes the compilation as including entries from celebrities, diplomats, billionaires, and former colleagues.
Mandelson, for example, reportedly referred to Epstein as “my best pal” in a note accompanied by photos of a tropical island and whiskey.
