WASHINGTON, DC: Comedian Bill Maher seems to be drifting further away from Democrats with every passing appearance, and his latest remarks may have revealed exactly what pushed him over the edge.

The 70-year-old late-night show host ripped into Democrats, especially former Vice President Kamala Harris and the Clintons, for allegedly refusing to appear on his show and instead opting only to speak with those who “pre-adore” them.

This came on the heels of Maher’s escalating criticism of Democrats, including recently blasting them for staying quiet as antisemitic rhetoric surges online and on college campuses while Israel marked its 78th birthday.

Bill Maher accuses Democrats of avoiding tough interviews

The host was in conversation with Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am on a recent episode of his podcast, 'Club Random,' when he was asked about the personalities he would like to speak with.

Maher replied that he would welcome Democrats on his show, but claimed several of them have chosen to stay away.

Maher called out the Democrats he wanted to interact with on his show. “Ironically, mostly Democrats, they won't come on the show. Like the Clintons, I mean, you know, Kamala, I voted for you,” he said.

"Democrats are like, they wont go anywhere that they're not already pre-adored," he continued.

He also suggested that this rigid approach among Democrats may have played a major role in their election defeat. "Not all of them, but I mean, somebody Kamala Harris, I mean, like I always say to my woke friends, we voted for the same person. You're just why she lost."

"Why are Democrats like that?" will.i.am asked, arguing that Democrats seem more passive than Republicans.

After comparing the world to a constant battle between opposing forces, Maher argued that Democrats had hurt themselves by embracing what he called “really silly anti-common-sense ideas.”

Maher argued that this was not the case for Democrats during the Bush and Obama years, adding that Obama was "the ultimate pragmatist."

This came after Maher blasted Democrats for failing to condemn antisemitism, arguing that many on the left have become unwilling to push back against anti-Israel sentiment because of shifting attitudes among younger voters.

“There is a frothing anxiousness for the literal extermination of this one group [Jews] and, Democrats, where are you?” Maher said during the segment.

“If any other minority group was being talked about this way, you’d break out the kente cloth and have ten benefit concerts, but because you see that so many of your brainwashed-by-TikTok constituents now have an unfavorable view of Israel, you indulge them when you should be correcting them,” he added.

Earlier last week, Maher joined Democrat John Fetterman in pushing back against Democrats’ criticism of President Trump’s White House ballroom project.

“If he came out [in favor] of ice cream and lazy Sundays, we would hate it,” Fetterman said. “The money is like one angstrom unit of a percentage point of what our budget is. So it doesn’t matter anyway,” he added.
