REEDLEY, CALIFORNIA: Suspects Brynn Curtis, 34, Rafael Gonzalez, 21, and a 17-year-old were arrested in the aftermath of a gruesome home invasion that claimed the lives of four family members.
The nightmare unfolded on Saturday, January 6, 2024, when police responded to reports of a burglary at the residence of 44-year-old Guadalupe Bonds and 81-year-old Billy Bonds.
Gruesome home invasion claims four lives
Tragically, the couple, well-known and respected in the community, were discovered lifeless alongside a third victim inside their home. The identity of the third victim remains unknown at this time. The community is left shaken by the heinous act that took away two lives that held a special place in the hearts of many.
As investigators diligently worked to make sense of the tragedy, Tuesday saw the execution of several search warrants leading to the arrest of the 17-year-old suspect, whose name is yet to be disclosed, along with Brynn and Rafael.
Shockingly, during the investigation, a fourth dead body was discovered. Authorities stress that there is currently no direct link between this additional victim and the three found in the Bonds' residence. However, evidence collected from the scene may provide crucial insights into the complex web of events.
Teen suspect's alleged accomplices identified as mother and her boyfriend
It was revealed that Brynn and Rafael have familial ties to the 17-year-old suspect, with reports indicating that they are the teen's mother and her boyfriend, as per ABC 30. The additional victim, a White male in his 40s, is yet to be identified.
Amid the chaos, police had initially been searching for Guadalupe's husband, Matthew Bonds, 43, who was missing and believed to be at risk in the aftermath of the home invasion. Details surrounding Matthew's whereabouts or condition remain unclear as the investigation unfolds.
As the community grapples with shock and grief, a GoFundMe campaign has been initiated to support the family of Guadalupe, affectionately known as Kiki.
"Our family is very heartbroken. Any contributions and prayers will be greatly helpful and appreciated. Kiki was an angel on this Earth, a beautiful soul. She touched everyone's heart she came across," the organizer expressed.
Nevertheless, authorities are working to determine if there is any connection between this individual and the burglary, or if the suspects were acquainted with any of the victims.
