Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose finalize divorce 3 months after nasty split and she gets $0
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose have officially settled their divorce, People confirms. The couple, who were married for seven months, settled nearly three months after Cyrus, 62, filed for divorce from Firerose (formerly Johanna Hodges), 36, citing irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct.
The filing also included a request for annulment on the grounds of fraud.

Cyrus' attorneys, Rose Palermo and Jason Talley confirmed that the parties reached a settlement agreement on August 2, and the court declared the marriage dissolved. "Mr Cyrus is relieved to put this nightmare behind him," they said.
"This past Friday the parties reached a settlement agreement at mediation to dissolve their 7-month marriage, and the Court declared the parties divorced this morning," said Rose Palermo and Jason Talley of Cheatham Palermo & Garrett.
They also noted that Firerose legally changed her last name to Cyrus a couple of weeks before mediation, which Cyrus believes supports his claim that her motive for marriage was to obtain his last name.
Billy Ray Cyrus expressed his relief in a statement to People, saying, "Giving thanks today to breathe a sigh of relief," and acknowledging the "unfortunate" end of their relationship. He described the situation as "a matter of the heart" and admitted, "Love is blind ... that’s for sure."
A source close to Firerose claimed she had filed her last name change shortly after their wedding and criticized the narrative pushed by Cyrus' team.
How much did Firerose get in divorce with Billy Ray Cyrus?
According to the source, Firerose decided to walk away without pursuing financial gains to escape the volatile relationship. She gets awarded $0 in settlement. The source also mentioned a clause in the settlement asking Firerose to admit she was lying about being a BRCA1 gene mutation carrier, which was dismissed after she provided medical records to prove otherwise.
Firerose stated that Cyrus filed for divorce in May, just a day before she was scheduled to have a preventative double mastectomy.
"If this went to trial, Firerose and her team would have provided a significant amount of evidence to prove he fabricated a narrative that would benefit his public image," they said.
"There is no doubt she would have been awarded the divorce, but it was much more important to her that this continuous smear campaign end."
Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose's divorce involved allegations and a bitter legal battle
The couple's split has been contentious, with both sides accusing each other of abuse in court filings. Firerose alleged "extreme verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse" by Cyrus, while Cyrus claimed verbal, emotional, and physical abuse from Firerose. He also accused Firerose of isolating him from his family.
In July, Cyrus was granted an emergency motion to prevent Firerose from using his credit cards after alleging she spent $96,000 post-divorce filing. Firerose denied the emergency nature of the motion and the unauthorized charges.
People obtained an audio recording of a heated exchange where Cyrus was heard berating Firerose, which her team claims was related to a Nicki Minaj concert in Tennessee.
During the exchange, Cyrus was heard telling his ex to “shut the f**k up” and calling her a “f***ing selfish bitch” while she pleaded with him to “please stop screaming at me.”
Cyrus' attorneys issued a statement to People, describing the recording as “an apparent last-ditch effort to squeeze money out of Mr Cyrus" by Firerose, "who made the recording without telling Mr Cyrus that she was recording him."
In response to the leaked audio, Firerose posted an Instagram Story about "healing."
"This week has been monumental in many ways, and I'm so appreciative and thankful for the outpouring of support," Firerose wrote. "There are so many great experts, books, and resources on healing. I promise there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Keep educating yourself," she added.
