LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The long-running feud between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has continued to dominate headlines, though reports earlier this week suggested the legal drama may finally be winding down.

New details surfaced claiming that no money was exchanged in the reported settlement tied to the ongoing dispute between the 'It Ends With Us' co-stars.

However, the courtroom battle is far from finished. According to Variety, Lively is seeking attorney’s fees and damages connected to Baldoni’s unsuccessful defamation lawsuit against her. While speculation about a resolution has grown, both sides still appear to have unresolved legal matters hanging over the case.

Blake Lively seeks legal fees in Justin Baldoni case

The legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni may be slowing down, but it is not completely over yet. Reports earlier this week revealed that no money was exchanged in the confidential settlement tied to the ongoing dispute between the 'It Ends With Us' co-stars.

“Anyone purporting to confirm the terms of the confidential settlement at this point is misleading you,” said a source close to the matter. “More information about this confidential settlement will be on the court’s docket in the coming days.”

By agreeing to settle, both sides reportedly avoided the huge expenses that would have come with a federal trial. Lively did not receive any financial compensation in the agreement, which Variety later confirmed.

The update comes after Lively decided on Monday, May 4, to withdraw her three remaining claims against Wayfarer Studios and the company’s publicists.

The trial had originally been scheduled to begin on May 18. Lively had previously accused Wayfarer Studios, where Baldoni serves as co-founder and co-chairman, of retaliating against her after disagreements connected to the production of the film.

Despite the settlement, there are still unresolved matters tied to the dispute, meaning the courtroom drama has not fully ended yet.

Justin Baldoni’s $400M lawsuit fight continues

According to Variety, Justin Baldoni’s $400 million defamation lawsuit may have been dismissed last June, but the legal battle is still ongoing.

Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and the company’s publicists had accused Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and their publicists of damaging Baldoni’s reputation through allegations linked to the film.

Judge Lewis Liman dismissed the lawsuit, ruling that Lively’s statements were protected because they were included in legal filings. Lively’s lawyers later asked for attorney’s fees and damages under a California law meant to protect people from retaliatory defamation lawsuits.

Baldoni’s legal team opposed the request, calling it “draconian” and arguing that California law should not apply to incidents connected to New York and New Jersey. Meanwhile, Equal Rights Advocates and the California Employment Lawyers Association backed Lively’s position in court.
