Viral beach flyover under review by US Navy
The US Navy's elite flight demonstration squadron has acknowledged the incident and said one aircraft flew lower than standard profiles during an arrival maneuver.
According to the Blue Angels, the maneuver caused a disturbance on the beach that affected civilian chairs and umbrellas.
Squadron leadership is now reviewing what happened and conducting a safety review to ensure all operations comply with Navy and FAA safety standards.
“The safety of our hometown community, spectators, and our pilots is our highest priority,” the Blue Angels said.
