JD Vance also addresses controversy surrounding Epstein files communication

Elsewhere in the interview, Vance addressed criticism surrounding the Trump administration's handling of communications related to the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Speaking candidly, the vice president said the administration had made mistakes in how it presented information to the public.

"We absolutely screwed up the comms of the Epstein files. Like, we just did," Vance said.

However, he pushed back against suggestions that officials were intentionally concealing information.

"But do I think the reason we screwed up the comms is because we were trying to hide something? No," he added.

Vance specifically discussed former Attorney General Pam Bondi, saying he believed her comments were not made with bad intentions.

"I know Pam. I like Pam. I don't think there was anything malicious going on," he told Rogan.
