Brianna Monroe, aged 26, and Giavon August were reported missing following a call from the father of one of her children. The call alerted the police that Monroe had sent a distressing text message indicating intentions to kill her son and herself.

The man said that he had reached out to her family, who were unable to contact her, causing the pair to be listed as Critical Missing, Beaumont Enterprise reports.

Cops tracked Monroe's phone to her family at Beaumont Municipal Airport and subsequently one of Monroe's cousins discovered their lifeless bodies in a car inside a park less than a mile away in Beaumont.

On Facebook, a man claiming to be the father of one of Monroe’s other children said he got a text message from Monroe stating, “Take care of our son.” His post also suggested that Monroe has three sons, including August
