Britney Spears teases two new projects in now-deleted post after hinting at retiring from music
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears is back in the headlines. The 'Baby One More Time' singer dropped that she has two back-to-back projects expected to be released later this year.
But the only hiccup is that she shared it and then deleted it. The video and the post are no longer available on her Instagram page.
This came right after her video of asking her fans in a British accent if she looks like 'Mary Poppins' and before that, when she wrote a lengthy note about her life and “failed” as a mother to her two boys.
Britney Spears fuels comeback speculation by teasing two new projects after hinting at retirement
The 44-year-old singer shared another dance reel, as she often does, along with content featuring her dancing or throwback images. On Tuesday, August 12, she posted a now-deleted video of herself dancing in a short checkered skirt, pink top, and block heels, with her hair left untied as usual.
Along with that dancing video, she shared a caption: “Just a southern girl listening and dancing to my favorite songs !!! I have two new projects coming out at the end of the year. I can’t wait."
This came after Spears hinted at her retirement plans from the mainstream recording industry. “I don’t want to be in the business and frankly the thought of the business... It’s not like it was when I was younger," Spears wrote in a post.
Now, she has shared the same video again on Wednesday, August 12.
Britney Spears says she 'failed as a mother' in unexpected post about sons
Spears also shared a lengthy post on social media and talked about her "failure" as a mother on Friday, August 7. The 44-year-old shared an image of her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and called them "a body of water."
She said she was "brainwashed into an ignorant system" and that every person took advantage of her. "I firmly believe I am an angel, and it hurts. Time is in a different realm when you're an angel," the 'Toxic' singer wrote.
"In that moment I believed I had failed as a mother because I know there is a Holy Spirit that sits high in the kingdom of heaven. I've been there; I've felt it," she shared. "I wanna tell my kids and people in general that I'm sorry for my mistakes in the past."
“My intention and mindset were in a completely different place when I used to perform… Not one time in those 15 years was it ever me and the way I used to think... I was shamed, embarrassed, and forced to do all of it," she added.
