Brooklyn Beckham appears to take a dig at Victoria and David Beckham in new FIFA World Cup ad
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brooklyn Beckham has seemingly hinted that things between him and his famous parents—Victoria and David Beckham—are not going to be better anytime soon as he appeared to take a dig at them in a new FIFA World Cup advertisement.
The advertisement in question was shared on the 27-year-old’s Instagram page on Monday, June 15.
Brooklyn Beckham hints at 'complicated' relationship with parents
Brooklyn did the ad for DoorDash, which shows him saying, “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home.”
“It’s a long story,” the Cloud23 Hot Sauce founder adds as he puts World Cup tickets onto his coffee table and walks away.
The video ends with texts that read, “It’s complicated. More soon.” Besides, the caption of the post read, “Long story @doordash #DoorDashPartner #DeliverUsToFutbol #FifaWorldCup2026.”
Harper Beckham visited brother Brooklyn amid family tension
The new advertisement dropped just days after Brooklyn’s sister Harper was photographed going to his Beverly Hills’ house.
The 14-year-old reportedly visited her brother’s house after attending their father David’s Walk of Fame ceremony in Hollywood last Friday. However, she could not meet her brother and his wife Nicola Peltz because they were not available at the time.
Also, a source alleged that Harper’s visit was “choreographed for the cameras”. But an insider close to the Beckhams called the accusation “clearly nonsense”.
Brooklyn Beckham accuses parents of controlling his life
Meanwhile, earlier this year, Brooklyn asserted in a statement that he does not “want to reconcile with my family”.
“I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family,” he noted.
The British media personality also accused his parents of controlling “narratives in the press about our family [with] performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships. …”
“Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade,” the model stated.
Brooklyn also claimed that his famous parents “have been trying endlessly to ruin [his] relationship” with his actress wife since before their 2022 wedding.
“During the wedding planning, my mum went so far as to call me ‘evil’ because Nicola and I chose to include my Nanny Sandra and Nicola’s Naunni at our table because they both didn’t have their husbands. Both of our parents had their own tables equally adjacent to our,” he added.
