Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll finalize divorce with one surprising settlement rule
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Singer Jelly Roll and media producer Bunnie Xo have finalized their divorce settlement, with court documents obtained by TMZ on Friday, July 17, revealing one major stipulation in the agreement.
Many details of the settlement will remain confidential. The agreement comes months after the divorce filing, ending a marriage that began with a spontaneous Las Vegas ceremony on August 30, 2016, shortly after an onstage proposal at a concert.

Earlier this month, the former couple reached a divorce settlement that will keep many of its details confidential, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. She will reportedly receive a one time lump sum payment from him, while assets including an aircraft, cars, homes, and various intellectual properties will also be divided.
The agreement also contains one major stipulation, a provision prohibiting either party from trash talking the other. As previously reported, Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, filed for divorce from Bunnie, born Alisa DeFord, on May 18 in Tennessee, where they lived.
In Tennessee, a divorce based on irreconcilable differences may be granted when the parties enter into a Marital Dissolution Agreement (MDA). The estranged couple would have celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in August.
The 41 year old musician cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, writing in his filing that they are "unable to live together successfully as husband and wife." He listed the date of separation as May 9, 2026.
According to Jelly Roll, the couple "accumulated certain real and personal property, and incurred certain marital debts" during their marriage. He also stated that he "anticipate[d]" they would execute and sign a Marital Dissolution Agreement that provides for the division of their assets and the allocation of responsibility for their debts.

On June 15, the day the divorce news became public, moving trucks were photographed outside the former couple's Franklin home. Three days later, exactly one month after Jelly Roll filed for divorce, she addressed the split during a lengthy, since deleted episode of her 'Dumb Blonde Podcast.'
"My husband and I are ending this marriage on the best possible terms that you could ever have a divorce," she said, adding, "We're literally settling our divorce in, like, what? We've done it in three weeks? Two weeks?"
Bunnie Xo also claimed Jelly Roll would be "taking care of" her financially and allowing her to keep their "dream" home in Franklin.
Discussing what led to the split, she said, "we have never really been good at having disagreements," revealing they had a final argument on Mother's Day. She admitted she encouraged Jelly Roll to "file the divorce papers," before adding that she had been "speaking out of anger and frustration" and "didn't actually want to part ways."
She also acknowledged that their IVF journey had "wrecked" them both physically and emotionally, but revealed they are "still having a baby together." Addressing speculation about the split, Bunnie Xo insisted, "nobody cheated on the other person," noting that infidelity had happened early in their marriage before he got sober.
