California Tesla owner offers $25K reward after Cybertruck vandalized: 'Example needs to be made here'
Tesla owner Jason Bedell revealed that the vandal wrecked his vehicle by throwing a cement block at the windshield and slashing its tires

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: A California Tesla owner has offered a whopping $25,000 reward for anyone being able to give him information about the miscreant who vandalized his Tesla Cybertruck.

Jason Bedell, a Cybertruck owner, said on the Thursday, April 3, episode of ‘Fox & Friends’ that he would be giving the whopping amount as a reward for information leading to the arrest of the vandal.

Claiming that an “example does need to be made here,” the California resident revealed that the vandal left his Tesla defaced by throwing a cement block at the windshield along with slashing its tires.

"An example does need to be made here," boldly stated the Cybertruck owner Jason Bedell, before explaining, "That is one of the reasons why I'm offering such a large cash reward for the person that did this," Fox News reported.

The show further revealed security footage from his home’s CCTV camera, where the protester can be seen hurling a cement block at the windscreen and puncturing the vehicle’s tires.

The California resident shared that the incident was more worrisome as at that time, his four-year-old son was asleep inside.

Meanwhile, Bedell also admitted that this was not the first time he had faced hostilities for driving a Tesla. "When I drive my Teslas around, I get a lot of middle fingers, a lot a thumbs down, a lot of really hard stares," shared the man.

However, he confessed that he is not the one to bow down, and that he would continue to drive his Tesla. "But I'm not going to be scared … I'm going to keep driving my Tesla,” noted the resident.

Bedell shared that he never actually expected to face hostilities in his predominantly Democratic neighborhood.

"To be targeting the neighbors in this area just doesn't make any sense to me. A lot of these people are on their side and believe a lot of the same beliefs that they have," Bedell said, before adding, "This isn’t an attack against Tesla. This is an attack against their neighbors."

America has faced a growing number of Tesla vandalism cases as anti-Elon Musk sentiment is on the rise following Donald Trump’s inauguration in January.

As reported by Fox News, the vandalism incidents are in retaliation following Musk’s involvement in cutting down federal expenditure by slashing jobs facilitated by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which the Tesla CEO leads.

Elon Musk calls Tesla vandalism a ‘wide-scale domestic terrorism’

Elon Musk recently called out the attacks on Tesla vehicles, dealerships, and charging stations as a "wide-scale domestic terrorism,” and asked the authorities to take action.

Speaking with Fox News' Bret Baier, the billionaire businessman said, “They are shooting guns into stores. They’re threatening people. You know, they’re issuing death threats against me and other Tesla personnel.”

“What are they doing this for? Why? And what’s happening, it seems to me, is they’re being fed propaganda by the far left. And they believe it. It’s really unfortunate,” claimed the X owner.

He added, “The real problem is not the people– it’s not like the crazy guy that firebombs a Tesla dealership,” before declaring, “It’s the people pushing the propaganda that cause that guy to do it.”

The father-of-14 continued, “Those are the real villains here and we’re gonna go after them,” before sharing Trump’s plan to take down the demonstrators.

“And the president’s made it clear. We’re gonna go after them,” claimed the DOGE chief, before explaining, “The ones providing the money, the ones pushing the lies and propaganda, we’re going after them.”
