DETROIT, MICHIGAN: Candace Owens recently took aim at Eminem and former President Barack Obama on the latest episode of her podcast after the duo rallied for Vice President Kamala Harris in Detroit, Michigan

She started the segment by commenting on Obama's background, saying, "There’s our boy Barry, who grew up with a trans nanny, pretends to be Black, speaking with the brothas," according to OK! Magazine

To add context, when Obama was nine-year-old he lived in Indonesia with his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, who employed a transgender woman named Evie to take care of her son.

Candace Owens then turned her focus to the 'Mockingbird' hitmaker and remarked, "Eminem is still cosplaying as some rapper who has been through things, even though he hasn’t touched his own door handles in 40 years."

She criticized him for attempting to counsel the Black community, saying, "He decided he’s going to come out and remind Black people in Detroit what they should be doing."

Continuing her critique, Owens noted, "Obviously, since it wasn’t enough for Barry to tell us what the brothers should be doing, we’re going to add on this guy who has a complex and has made essentially three albums dissing Trump. He’s going to come out and tell Black people how to act, which makes perfect sense! Eminem is such a fraud."

During the rally on Tuesday, October 22, Eminem expressed his support for Harris, emphasizing the significance of Detroit and Michigan in the upcoming election.

The longtime critic of Donald Trump told the crowd, "As most of you know, the city of Detroit and the whole state of Michigan mean a lot to me. And going into this election, the spotlight is on us more than ever. And I think it’s important to use your voice. So I’m encouraging everybody to get out and vote."

The 52-year-old noted, "I also think that people shouldn't be afraid to express their opinions, and I don't think anyone wants an America where people are worried about retribution for making their opinions known," adding that Harris "supports a future for this country where these freedoms and many others will be protected and upheld."

Barack Obama channeled Eminem at Detroit rally

The Detroit rapper then introduced former President Barack Obama who opened his speech by rapping the lyrics of 'Lose Yourself', the theme song from Eminem's semi-biographical 2002 movie '8 Mile'.

He remarked, "I gotta say, you know, I’ve done a lot of rallies, so I don’t usually get nervous, but I was feeling some kind of way following Eminem. I notice my palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy, vomit on my sweater already, mom’s spaghetti, I’m nervous but on the surface, I look calm and ready to drop bombs but I keep on forgetting."

Obama went on to attack Trump as unfit, citing recent incidents like the town hall with Kristi Noem where the MAGA spearhead held an impromptu concert of sorts and swayed to his playlist for over half an hour rather than taking questions from the attendees.

"If your grandpa was acting like this, you’d be worried. This is somebody who wants unchecked power. We do not need to see what an older, loonier Donald Trump looks like with no guardrails. America’s ready to turn the page," said the 44th President of the United States.

Michigan is among the swing states expected to determine who wins the presidency as well as control of the US Senate.
