Candace Owens claims JoJo Siwa’s ‘own community cringes’ as she tries to ‘sell’ her queer identity to fans

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Candace Owens isn't backing down from her previous claims about JoJo Siwa's sexuality.

In a recent episode of her 'Candace' podcast, Owens once again questioned the authenticity of Siwa's sexuality.

As per CBS 8, after Siwa made it clear in early August that she would never invite Owens to her podcast 'JoJo Siwa Now', the latter responded by accusing the pop sensation of treating her lesbian identity as an acting performance.

Candace Owens, whose full name is Candace Amber Owens Farmer, remarked, "JoJo, you are so clearly going through something. To be a lesbian is not a performance," suggesting that Siwa’s expressions and behavior were more about putting on a show than genuinely embracing her identity.

She continued, "You are speaking as you believe a lesbian is supposed to speak to really sell they are a lesbian. [You say,] ‘Oh I smoke a pack a day, and I do these butch mannerisms.'"

Owens didn’t stop there. She claimed to have insight from her own experiences, stating, "I've been around lesbians, and they don’t feel the need to broadcast it in every sentence."

She even referenced the moment the 'Karma' singer was booed at an NYC Pride parade, suggesting that even her "own community cringes" at her behavior.

In a surprising twist, Owens expressed being "very sad" that she wouldn't get the chance to appear on Siwa's podcast, believing they could have had an "amazing" conversation on the topic.

"I know you come from the community of tolerance, but you're signaling to everyone you’re intolerant [to anyone] that doesn’t agree with you," Owens noted. "Maybe exercise that rainbow tolerance that you claim is what your community is all about."

"Your community is rejecting you for a reason. Maybe it’s time to wake up. Maybe it’s time to have a conversation with Candace," she concluded.

Candace Owens doesn't believe 'JoJo Siwa is a lesbian'

Candace Owens and JoJo Siwa are no strangers to controversy, especially when it comes to the topic of Siwa's sexuality.

Back in April 2023, Owens didn’t hold back, openly questioning the authenticity of the pop star's identity on her Daily Wire podcast.

“I don’t believe JoJo Siwa is a lesbian, by the way. I want to state that very clearly. I do believe that she’s desperate for attention,” Owens says in the clip, taken from her 'Daily Wire' podcast.

Siwa, never one to shy away from a response, took to X a few days later, sharing Owens' episode with a fiery caption: "Is JoJo Siwa lying about being lesbian for attention?"

In true Siwa fashion, she responded with a cool but firm retort: "I haven’t watched the video yet…. But if it has anything to do with your caption, respectfully back the f**k off."

According to Billboard, Siwa mentioned key moments like hearing Demi Lovato’s 'Cool for the Summer', watching Jenna Dewan’s Lip Sync Battle performance, and feeling disinterested in intimacy during a date with a man.

“One plus one plus one must equal ‘I’m a lesbo,’” Owens said back then. “It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. It’s very clear to me she did that video for attention. She got attention because it’s a great way to find a community of victims.”

Siwa came out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community on January 22, 2021, when she posted a photo on social media wearing a shirt that said 'Best. Gay. Cousin. Ever', per US Magazine.
