WASHINGTON, DC: South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem (R) didn’t hold back after Barack Obama took a swipe at her during a recent rally.

The former president joked about the dog killer's visibly uncomfortable stance as Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump grooved to music for nearly 40 minutes at a Pennsylvania campaign event.

Kristi Noem responds to Barack Obama's critique of her

"She’s standing there with this weird look on her face like she doesn’t really know what’s going on. It’s like a hostage video," Barack Obama quipped at a rally for Kamala Harris in Wisconsin.

Noem, who claimed to have killed her “untrainable” dog, was clearly unimpressed and hit back on X: "I couldn’t decide if I wanted to make a joke about Obama’s failed presidency…or his being besties with Diddy…or how it’s his fault we have Joe Biden in the first place… Then I remembered I just don’t care what @BarackObama thinks!"

Kristi Noem drags Sean 'Diddy' Combs into Barack Obama feud

Kristi Noem's post referenced Barack Obama’s close relationship with Joe Biden and even dragged in Sean "Diddy" Combs, the rapper and long-time Democratic supporter who is currently facing legal issues.

The music mogul was arrested on September 16 on charges of racketeering and trafficking. He is detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn and has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Noem, who has been a staunch supporter of Trump, even lobbying to be his running mate, found herself the target of criticism online. Social media users pointed out the irony in claiming not to care about Obama’s opinion while going to great lengths to respond to his comments.

Kristi Noem’s clapback at Barack Obama sparks backlash

Kristi Noem’s fiery response to Barack Obama’s recent jab didn’t land quite as intended. After the South Dakota governor declared she didn’t care what the former president thought, social media erupted with critiques, accusing her of contradicting herself.

"You don't care what he thinks all while showing us in a post you do very much care and that you're horrible at clapping back. Thank you for promoting him as well," a user tweeted.

"They look pretty chummy to me!" said a second.

"You are the Governor of a state that nobody ever visits. No one cares what you think," a third tweeted.

"Apparently you do because you felt the need to post about him. Bahahahahahahahaha nice self own," read a tweet.

"Happiness for Kristi is a warm gun... and a dead dog," penned a user.

"You tried to be funny & clever but it turns out you’re just a dog murderer," stated a user.

"Don't worry, shooting a dog always makes you laugh," chimed in another.
