NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Neighbors of Nashville woman, Caroline Conner who was fatally struck by a ‘high speed’ car, heard her screaming before death. Now cops in Tennessee are looking for two suspects who intentionally ran her over with a car in the parking lot of a Nashville apartment complex.

The incident happened around 1.45 am on Saturday, February 10, at the Neely Meadows Apartments at 600 Cheyenne Boulevard in Madison, a neighborhood in northeast Nashville. Police later identified the victim as 32-year-old Caroline Conner.

What happened to Caroline Conner?

According to a press release, Conner was on foot in a parking lot when she began arguing with a man and woman in a white Mercury Sable. After the verbal argument, the suspects drove to the back of the complex but came back to the front and hit Conner “at a high rate of speed,” police say.

According to the press statement, Conner was on the car's hood when the suspects turned left into Cheyenne Boulevard, at which point the car took off.

Conner was taken by paramedics to Skyline Medical Centre, where she passed away.

Conner's neighbor claimed hearing the commotion. “Last night me and my husband were watching TV and we heard somebody screaming,” Latisha Slack told Nashville NBC affiliate WSMV.

Slack said she didn’t realize what was happening until the incident was over.

“We did hear a car screeching off,” Slack told the outlet.

“We didn’t know what it was. We just thought it was some random car, and somebody out here arguing, we didn’t know somebody got killed.”

She added, “It’s sad that somebody lost their life for nothing.”

Police investigation continues

Metro Nashville police department said during the alleged argument, the vehicle’s driver went to the back of the apartment and accelerated to the front, striking Conner.

The victim remained on the hood of the car until it made a left turn onto Cheyenne Boulevard.

Anyone with information about the car and/or the male and female inside it is asked to contact Nashville Crime Stoppers at tel:615-742-7463.
