Chad Gilbert’s widow Lisa Cimorelli pays tribute to him, says ‘life will never be the same’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Chad Gilbert's widow Lisa Cimorelli has mourned the death of her husband.
She has shared her favorite “silly” memories of the late New Found Glory guitarist, who died at 45 on September 20 following his battle with adrenal cancer and Stage 4 adrenocortical carcinoma.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, September 23, Cimorelli posted a number of photos and videos of Gilbert singing, dancing, and laughing.
She began, “It’s clear to me that an immeasurable amount of people saw how incredible Chad was, what an inspiration he was, and how bright his light really shined. I felt a little lighter today going through our old memories and wanted to share some of my favorite moments with him when I got to experience the pure, uninhibited joy that is Chad Gilbert.”

Continuing further, the singer, 33, mentioned that her late husband was “like if Michael Scott and Andy Dwyer had a kid, which is fitting because 'The Office' and 'Parks and Recreation' were two of his all time fav shows.”
The record producer and Cimorelli started dating in 2018. Reflecting on their relationship, she wrote, “It was the first time I was ever threatened by a guy’s friends that I better not hurt him! But you can see what they were protecting. It was too precious to risk. He loved so hard, gave so much, and constantly emptied himself for me.”
The mother-of-one then expressed her gratitude for being loved by Gilbert.
“It was truly an honor and a privilege to be chosen by him. I told him I felt unworthy of so much love and attention early on, but he would teach me about God’s love and build me up so much in those moments. He was truly so, so, so special,” she stated, before noting, "I hope these silly moments bring a little of his joy to those of you who are broken alongside me today by such a deep loss."

Concluding her post, Cimorelli added that “life will never be the same without him,” but she’s “determined to follow his selfless, generous, courageous example and not let that legacy ever fade.”
“His love was superhuman and he was my super man rest in peace baby,” Cimorelli penned.
Chad Gilbert died 'peacefully in his sleep'
The tribute came days after she and New Found Glory bandmates made the announcement of Gilbert’s death.
In a joint statement, they shared, “On the morning of September 20th, Chad Everett Gilbert passed away peacefully in his sleep. He left this world surrounded by friends and family and took his final breaths with his wife and mother by his side, just as he wished.”
“We are devastated and shocked by how quickly he left us, yet so grateful for how peacefully and smoothly he went,” the statement added.
