Charles Yoo: Roommate arrested as cops look for 'proof of life' weeks after 2 Utah men vanished
BLANDING, UTAH: The San Juan Sheriff's Office arrested a man on March 8, 2024, in connection with the disappearance of two Utah men, William Bull, 29, and Christopher Owens, 28.
The suspect, Charles Yoo, 35, has been charged with second-degree felony of obstruction of justice. Following the arrest, Utah officials initiated a homicide investigation to locate the missing men.

Charles Yoo was arrested after a search warrant was issued on March 8, 2024, at the residence shared by all three men. During the search, a mutual friend of Bull and Owens alerted law enforcement to Yoo's suspicious behavior.
The friend also reported "concerning interactions" he had with Yoo in the days following the two men stopped using the using social media to communicate with friends and family.
The San Juan County Sheriff's Office stated that, "Due to evidence collected at the residence, interviews with Yoo, investigative techniques and the lack of proof of life from William Bull and Christopher Owens, the investigation is now being termed a homicide investigation. The investigation is ongoing."
Deputies discovered video footage showing Owens and Bull at the Maverik store in Blanding on February 25, Crime Online, reports. Yoo informed investigators that he observed the two leaving the house on February 26 in a black Dodge pickup truck.
Despite being a vehicle mechanic, Yoo provided limited information about the Dodge to the deputies. Yoo mentioned that one firearm from his massive collection was missing, and he had left it accessible to Owens and Bull.
He stated he believed the pair had "gone out shooting" days before disappearing, the affidavit said.
What did the wife of William Bull report?
On February 27, shortly after William Bull went missing, his partner received a "suspicious" text message from Bull’s phone. The partner believes that the text, seemingly not from Bull himself, mentioned that Owens was possibly dead.
Isabelle Bull, the wife of William Bull, penned a statement mourning her missing husband, "I’m devastated and heartbroken and he was a great husband, dad, son and nephew, me and his family can’t believe this has happened and just want him home. He didn’t deserve this. He was such a lovable person and always wanted to help people. We love and miss him so much."
