Charlie Sheen says Trump was right about his failed marriage to Brooke Mueller

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In his new Netflix documentary 'aka Charlie Sheen', the actor was surprised to see President Donald Trump, recalling how he urged Brooke Muller’s parents to end their marriage.

“It was a trip. I didn’t know Trump was in the [Netflix] doc,” Sheen told Fox News Digital. “I saw it and I called the director. I was like, ‘That’s the coolest thing ever.’ I was like, ‘Whoa!’ And newsflash – they should have heeded his advice.”

“Brooke is from Palm Beach, and I told the parents, ‘Don’t let your daughter marry him. I think he’s wonderful, but he’s a disaster. Don’t let your daughter marry him,” said Trump during a 2011 interview with ABC.
When did Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller tie the knot?

Sheen met Mueller in 2006, after his separation from Denise Richards, and they got engaged the next year. His friends and family were uneasy about their relationship.
John Cryer, his co-star from ‘Two and a Half Men’, recalled that while he missed the wedding, his wife attended it, and she later expressed concerns.
She also revealed that Martin Sheen’s toast at the wedding was brief, with the actor simply saying, “I hope you two know what you’re doing.”
Charlie Sheen's turbulent marriage to Brooke Mueller
The marriage soon became turbulent. After their twins were born prematurely in 2009, requiring an extended hospital stay, Sheen revealed the strain of balancing their care with his TV work, which fueled his resentment toward the show for not granting him time off.
Sheen also recounted how he relapsed after almost 10 years of sobriety, when he found out Mueller and a friend were using drugs at his home and ended up joining them.
Sheen was then arrested in 2009 for allegedly threatening Mueller with a knife, but the charges were dropped when Mueller recanted, and their divorce was finalized in 2011.
Mueller later admitted that their relationship quickly spiraled due to drug abuse. Sheen also acknowledged his role in the turmoil and said that he repeatedly made amends with her.
Two US presidents' involvement in Charlie Sheen's life

In his memoir, ‘The Book of Sheen’, he claimed that former president Bill Clinton once showed interest in his then girlfriend, Dolly Fox, in the 1980s.
Reflecting on both the president’s involvement in his past life, Sheen noted with amusement that the two US presidents have been involved in his love life, which he now embraces as a unique part of his story.
