NEW HAMPSHIRE, UNITED STATES: The grandmother of a missing girl, Harmony, disclosed that she had previously left money in the same cooler where it is alleged that the girl's father hid her remains after he reportedly killed her.

During the trial, Kayla Montgomery, the estranged wife of Adam Montgomery from New Hampshire, testified that he fatally punched their five-year-old daughter, Harmony.

Adam then allegedly folded Harmony's body into a duffel bag and concealed it in various locations, including his car trunk, a ceiling vent, and a restaurant freezer, as he contemplated how to dispose of the body.

What did grandmother Christina Lubin say?

According to Mirror, Christina Lubin, the mother of Kayla, testified in court that she had once placed money in the cooler to assist the couple with their car expenses.

"Kayla had called me at one point before seeing them at my house about having a flat tire and needing money for it," she explained.

Christina continued, "So I was leaving for the day so I left them money in a cooler in my side hallway, so that they could get their tire fixed."

According to Kayla's testimony, as Harmony's remains began to emit a foul odor, Adam Montgomery transferred them into trash bags, which he then placed in a large tote bag.

Kayla recounted that she placed the bag in a stroller and brought it to a restaurant where her husband worked, and he subsequently stored it in the freezer. Later, he relocated the bag to the refrigerator of an apartment they were staying in Manchester for 6 weeks.

The prosecution asserted that Ms. Lubin's red cooler was one of the containers utilized to transport Harmony's remains.

During her testimony, Kayla Montgomery, the stepmother of the girl, stated that her husband struck Harmony in the head after she wet herself in his car.

She described how he covered Harmony with a blanket while the child cried, moaned, and eventually fell silent.

Following this, their car broke down, and Adam placed Harmony's body in a duffel bag.

Additionally, Adam's wife asserted that he left with Harmony's remains in a rented truck and refused to disclose his destination.

Concerned that she might involve the authorities, she claimed that Adam began assaulting her, prompting her to flee in 2021.

Interestingly, Adam previously served as a witness for the prosecution in an unrelated case, where he was convicted of stealing firearms last year.

Despite being sentenced to more than 30 years in prison, he vehemently denied any involvement in Harmony's death during the trial.

Notably, Adam is currently facing charges of second-degree murder, assault, and witness tampering.
