WASHINGTON, DC: Chuck Todd made a startling revelation on his podcast 'The Chuck Toddcast' this week. During a conversation with Politico's Jonathan Martin about President Joe Biden's age and suitability for office, Todd disclosed that a "senior" member of Biden's cabinet had expressed doubts about Biden's ability to run for re-election two years ago.

Behind closed doors: doubts over Joe Biden's future

According to the Mediaite, in a candid moment, Todd recounted the interaction, noting that the cabinet secretary, whom he chose not to identify, had unexpectedly questioned Biden's capacity to continue in his role.

"Two years ago, out of the blue asked me, ‘You really think he’s gonna — he can’t run again like this,’" Todd recalled. He emphasized that the individual in question held a significant position within the cabinet, suggesting the concern was not isolated.

"This is one of those classic open secret conversations," Todd reflected, highlighting that such discussions were widespread yet rarely discussed openly.

He underscored the media's role in reporting based on reliable sources and hinted at Biden's cautious approach to public engagements since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Look, the media is as good as the sources that don’t lie to us are," Todd continued, before going on to note that Biden has largely avoided high-stakes, high-risk appearances since the Covid-19 pandemic.

Todd went on to rip Biden himself, submitting that "he didn’t get the brass ring until it was handed to him. He never earned it! It was handed to him," referencing the 2020 Democratic presidential primary, when the Democratic Party establishment coalesced around Biden in spite of his poor performances in the early contests.

Public backlash and criticism of Chuck Todd's revelation

Amid Chuck Todd's revelation on his podcast, 'The Chuck Toddcast', about a senior cabinet member questioning Biden's re-election capability two years ago, there has been a notable backlash online.

One user wrote, "Chuck Todd bragging about his access to a Cabinet member, while admitting he doesn't bother reporting actual news."

Another user added, "Two things are becoming obvious: the first is that the Democrats want Biden to bail. The second is that there is no way Biden is going to bail. You loons are in a pickle."

One added, "Chuck Todd is an idiot. He's not smart, he's not a journalist either because if he was he would have been all over Biden and not covering for him."

Another said, "All of these stories could have been written years ago. But they were protecting Biden."

One added, "Chuck thought this was propaganda two years ago."

Another said, "Go away, Chuck."
