ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Former Democratic Missouri Senator and MSNBC political analyst Claire McCaskill acknowledged that President Joe Biden "failed" to demonstrate his suitability for a second term in office in the presidential debate on Thursday, June 27.

The analyst emphasized that Biden's "one job" going into the debate was to demonstrate that his growing age wouldn't prevent him from leading, and he utterly failed to do so.

She also regretted that she had to assert the claim given her longstanding support for the president.

Claire McCaskill said she's not the only one whose 'heart is breaking right now' after the Biden-Trump debate

"I'm not the only one whose heart is breaking right now," Sen Clair McCaskill remarked in reference to the large segment of the public and other commentators who accepted Joe Biden's erratic performance in the debate against former president Donald Trump.

McCaskill evaluated Biden's performance as part of MSNBC's post-debate analysis on Thursday night. The "easy part," she told network host Rachel Maddow, is that Trump "is a liar, a flawed character, mean, a jerk, very unlikable, and that was obvious tonight."

"And now the hard and heartbreaking part," she continued, pivoting to Biden's poor debate performance.

Claire McCaskill said Joe Biden failed to prove that he was 'up to the job'

"My job now is to be really honest," Sen Claire McCaskill said, per Fox News.

"Joe Biden had one thing he had to do tonight and he didn't do it. He had one thing he had to accomplish, and that was reassure America that he was up to the job at his age, and he failed at that tonight," she added.

The former lawmaker refrained from speculating on Biden's potential removal from the presidential ticket due to his poor performance.

She continued, "I don't know that," referring to the reports that she has been contacted by Democratic lawmakers and political strategists regarding Biden's possible replacement.

"I think we’ll know a lot more in a few weeks how this plays out, how the polling plays out," McCaskill added.

Claire McCaskill is sad to see Joe Biden's declining condition

Sen Claire McCaskill continued by expressing how depressing it is for her and other Joe Biden supporters across the nation to witness his decline.

"There's a lot of people who watched this tonight and felt terribly for Joe Biden," she said. "And you know, you have to ask, how did we get here?"

"How did we get to the point that we’re spending a whole lot of time talking about the vice president tonight instead of talking about the president?" she asked.

"I don't know how the rest of the story is written," McCaskill continued. "I don't know if things can be done to fix this. They might, and Trump is so terrible that this might heal itself, but based on what I'm hearing from a lot of people — and some of them are people that are in high elected offices in this country, and you might guess where they serve — there is a lot more than hand wringing tonight."

Sen Claire McCaskill provided a tip for Joe Biden's advisors

Claire McCaskill questioned why the Democratic Party had not made room for California Governor Gavin Newsom and Vice President Kamala Harris to run for a presidential ticket before advising the president's advisors to have a "heart-to-heart" with Joe Biden "about his ability to exude strength."

She asked, "How come the Democratic Party doesn’t have them at the top of the ticket instead of using them to shore up what have become, after tonight, some glaring weaknesses in our president?"

Internet says Joe Biden has 'always been' unfit for US presidency

Netizens vented out frustration on Joe Biden after he exuded several senior moments during the CNN presidential debate.

One X (formerly Twitter) user blamed the media, "He’s been unfit from day one … they have been covering for him … dont act like this is all new now … scum libs on a scum media outlet."

"What is heartbreaking is that the mainstream media has tried to hide it for a long time!" another echoed the same.

"All These pundits are acting like they Didn't Know THIS was Going to Happen... When it's been blatantly Obvious for Months!!!... " added one user.

Another mocked, "Who is gonna take the car keys away from grandpa?"

"He's always been unfit, but she shilled for him anyway," remarked someone else while hinting at McCaskill.
