WASHINGTON, DC: Following a social media post about a former Olympian, questions have been raised about Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel's alleged "coded" remark regarding President Joe Biden, according to Raw Story.

Nessel reposted a recent tweet by professional soccer player Alex Morgan. Nessel has prosecuted allies of Donald Trump in state court.

"Disappointed about not having the opportunity to represent our country on the Olympic stage," Morgan stated in the post in late June.

Morgan added, "This will always be a tournament that is close to my heart and I take immense pride any time I put on the crest."

She further stated, "In less than a month, I look forward to supporting this team and cheering them on alongside the rest of our country. LFG."

More than two weeks after it was initially posted, Nessel shared the remark, saying, "I adore Alex Morgan. One of the greatest of all time. But she’s aged significantly from her prime playing days & gracefully accepted that in order to win the gold it was time to pass the baton."

She said in a separate post, "No one will ever forget her incredible accomplishments, but Alex just wants what’s best for the team and for America. That’s what makes her a true champion."

Internet rips Dana Nessel for her purportedly 'coded' post about Joe Biden

Several people on the internet ripped Dana Nessel for her alleged 'coded' remark directed at President Joe Biden.

A user wrote on X, "You’re a mess. Truly disappointing."

While one added, "Alex Morgan failed to qualify for the Olympic team. Joe Biden has won the pledged delegates to clinch the nomination. Can anybody spot the false equivalence that Dana Nessel is implying?"

An individual stated, "Stop playing in my face and say it with your whole chest. No one has time for games Dana."

Another mentioned, "You managed to trash Alex Morgan, our president, our party, and - last and absolutely least - yourself Unbelievably classless."

A user also commented, "So 35 is "aged significantly"? Now, I am not going to mention your age..But really consider that calling 35 too old is a bad look."

One comment read "What a shady way to try and get your point across. Sad thing is she probably thought she was being clever."

A person wrote, "Goddamn! Nessel has been one of my heroes of late...just got chopped down a notch."

Another wrote, "Replace Alex Morgan with Joe Biden then it makes more sense. It is a coded way of telling Biden to drop out."
