CMA Awards 2025 Worst Dressed: LeAnn Rimes, Kelsea Ballerini, Mickey Guyton lead the fashion flops
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Country music ruled the spotlight at the 59th Annual CMA Awards at Bridgestone Arena, honoring artists, songwriters, and musicians. On Wednesday, November 19, the biggest names in country music brought glitz, glamour and standout performances to the stage.
Hosted by Lainey Wilson, the night featured show-stopping sets from Kelsea Ballerini, BigXthaPlug, Brandi Carlile, Kenny Chesney, Luke Combs, Riley Green, Miranda Lambert, Ella Langley, Little Big Town, Patty Loveless, Megan Moroney, Old Dominion and more.
While the music had fans on their feet, the red carpet delivered a very different kind of excitement — some hits, some misses, and plenty of bold fashion choices. Here’s a look at the worst-dressed stars at the CMA Awards 2025.
Mickey Guyton
At the 59th Annual CMA Awards, the 'Better than you left me' singer, Mickey Guyton, stepped out in a look that definitely got people talking. She wore a mermaid-cut denim dress with beaded fringe hanging from the chest, sleeves and skirt, along with a western-style collar. Black heels with silver buckles tied it all together, but the competing styles never found harmony, pushing the look firmly into the night’s misses.
Kelsea Ballerini
Kelsea Ballerini’s red carpet outfit left fans scratching their heads. The five-time Grammy Award nominee chose a sheer red dress with rose detailing that leaned into 'Emily in Paris' territory, but without the charm. The sleeveless silhouette and matching stilettos didn’t deliver the drama expected at the CMAs. Her bold lipstick stood out, though the rest of her makeup stayed minimal, flattening the overall impact.
Carter Faith
'Betty' singer Carter Faith arrived in a maroon one-shoulder dress with floral embroidery and fringe layered from top to bottom. The skirt was entirely fringe, paired with black heels, making the look land somewhere between country red carpet and disco night. Ambitious, but not cohesive.
Gretchen Wilson
Grammy winner Gretchen Wilson chose a black jumpsuit with long sleeves and bootcut pants, keeping her hair down and adding a belt. The look felt relaxed to the point of being underwhelming for a major awards night.
LeAnn Rimes
LeAnn Rimes wore a beige floor-length gown with a thigh-high slit and floral waist detailing. The 'Coyote Ugly' actress styled it with loose hair for a soft finish. The gown had potential, but the shimmer and cut didn’t blend seamlessly, leaving the overall look lacking.
Alexandra Kay
Alexandra Kay’s purple and pink gown, paired with sheer gloves, raised eyebrows. The singer who gained fame through social media leaned toward Jessica Rabbit inspiration but didn’t quite land, ending up more confusing than glamorous.
Tyler Hubbard
Tyler Hubbard chose a dark green satin suit that looked like it had been rushed out of a suitcase. The '5 Foot 9' crooner added a light green shirt and black loafers, but the wrinkles overshadowed the styling, making it an easy addition to the night’s worst-dressed list.
Caylee Hammack
Caylee Hammack wore a silky emerald strapless gown with a high slit and layered bodice. The singer combined with her bright red hair, it created a dramatic, almost fairytale effect that didn’t quite match the CMA mood.
Brooke Barry
Brooke Barry’s black silk gown featured a large pink bow across the waist and a keyhole neckline. The fashion designer from Nashville looked great in it but the design felt more holiday-party than CMA red carpet.
Asher Angel
Asher Angel showed up in a copper velvet suit with brown boots and layered necklaces. The 'Andi Mack' actor look felt thrown together, lacking the sharpness expected at an award show.
