WASHINGTON, DC: CNN’s Dana Bash has landed the first interview with Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

After being under the pump by Republicans for avoiding press interviews for weeks now, it is announced that the vice president will be interviewed along with Democratic VP nominee Tim Walz by the network.

Kamala Harris was under pressure to give a press interview

Kamala Harris was called out by Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance. She was accused of running a "basement campaign" and was the victim of hashtag #wheresKamala, reports Newsweek

In his campaign rallies, the Senator asked the public, "What kind of election can you have if your own presidential candidate won't actually answer the tough questions?"

"It's been 37 days since Joe Biden dropped out and Kamala Harris was installed as the Democratic nominee. Kamala has yet to sit down for an interview," he added, attacking Donald Trump's campaign.

"Kamala is dodging the press for a reason. She doesn't want to talk about her radical agenda," they added.

Trump's campaign further pressed on Harris to break silence on supporting "ending cash bail for violent criminals," "fundraising for the bail of violent rioters," whether she thinks "that Bidenomics is 'working'" as well as if she regrets "releasing terrorists into the country."

Internet trolls Kamala Harris for not giving a solo interview

Netizens were quick to slam Democratic presidential candidate for agreeing to give her first interview along with her running mate Tim Walz. A few also raised concern for it being a pre recorded interview, and not a live one.

One user shared his thoughts on X, "She needs her sidekick to do an interview, how in the world is this woman going to handle Putin?!"

"Awww look, Kamala needs Dad/Coach to hold her hand," the second trolled referring to Tim Walz.

"She can’t even do one alone with a friendly network 🤡🌎" another joined in.

A user expressed concern, "How embarrassing that the potential first woman President has to have a white guy come hold her hand. If she wins, it’s NOT a win for women."

"Pre taped, pre edited, pre screened questions in a joint interview because Kamala always needs a man to give her a hand up lol" another criticized.
