WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump found himself at the center of a media firestorm once again, not for a policy or campaign move, but for how sharply he was described on live television.

During a 'CNN NewsNight' panel discussion on Wednesday, May 28, things turned heated and humorous when podcast host Jennifer Welch labeled the president with just three biting words, “whining titty baby,” as per HuffPost

The remark came as the panel debated Donald Trump’s reported decision to reject a $15 million settlement offered by Paramount Global in a lawsuit he filed over CBS' editing of a '60 Minutes' interview with former vice president Kamala Harris during the 2024 election cycle.

While 'Shark Tank' investor Kevin O’Leary defended Trump, calling the edit a “word salad,” Welch seized the moment to call out what she saw as performative victimhood.

“How do you guys constantly defend the biggest whining titty baby out there?” Welch asked, adding, “He whines, cries nonstop. He’s the president of the United States. You’re defending that? It’s demeaning,” drawing immediate laughs from the rest of the panel and a storm of reactions online.

Just for context, Urban Dictionary describes a “titty baby” as “someone who gets super bu** hurt super easy.” Meanwhile, Wiktionary takes it a step further, defining it as “someone who is childish and prone to offense.”

Welch’s barb wasn’t the only jab aimed at Trump that day. Earlier, reports surfaced that Wall Street insiders have coined the acronym “TACO” (Trump Always Chickens Out) to mock his pattern of threatening harsh economic policies, like massive tariffs, only to quickly reverse course.

The fiery moment on CNN garnered an avalanche of reactions across the internet as the clip went viral.

One wrote, "‘Titty Baby’ is accurate," and another said, "OMG that’s exactly what he is."

A person remarked, "She needs to be on that show more often… She’ll cook these frauds," while someone else added, "Someone had to say it on air! Thank. You."

“Trump is definitely the whiniest president we’ve had in my lifetime and I would imagine he is a contender for whiniest in our history,” an individual quipped.

"Because performative grievance is the only thing keeping the GOP glued together. Without whining, they’ve got nothing," another tweet read.

Referencing the new nicknames bestowed on Trump, one more wrote, "From #TACO to #WhiningTittyBaby Trump is a national embarrassment."
