‘Couldn’t be a prouder dad’: Gordon Ramsay celebrates as daughter Holly marries Olympian Adam Peaty

BATH, UNITED KINGDOM: Gordon Ramsay’s daughter, Holly Ramsay, tied the knot with Olympic swimming champion Adam Peaty in a stunning ceremony at Bath Abbey on Saturday, December 27.

The couple got engaged in 2024 after going public with their romance in 2023, following their first meeting while Peaty was a contestant on 'Strictly Come Dancing' alongside Holly’s sister, Matilda "Tilly" Ramsay.

The nuptials took place at the historic Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, where 25-year-old Holly arrived in a traditional large white gown and a matching veil.

Her father walked her down the aisle to meet Peaty, a triple Olympic gold medalist. 

The guest list featured the Beckham family, including David and Victoria.

Ramsay shares emotional tribute to daughter Holly's love

Gordon Ramsay expressed his deep emotion following the ceremony, sharing his joy with his millions of followers on social media.

The celebrity chef penned a touching note to the newlyweds. "I’m truly so lucky being able to walk this beautiful bride down the aisle and gaining an incredible son in law @adam_peaty ! I love you so much @hollyramsayy and couldn’t be a prouder Dad xxx," he wrote. 

This public blessing followed his initial excitement during their engagement in 2024, when he noted, "Hols, watching you become the woman you are today with your kindness and your love is absolutely infectious…Adam is a very lucky man ! Welcome to the family."

Gordon, 59, and Tana Ramsay, 51, share a large family beyond their daughter Holly. Their other children include 27-year-old Megan Ramsay, Holly’s twin brother, Jack Ramsay, 25; Tilly, 24; and two younger sons, Oscar Ramsay, six, and Jesse Ramsay, two.

Joining the family circle is the 30-year-old Peaty, who has a five-year-old son named George from his previous relationship with Eirianedd Munro.

Earlier, during their engagement, Peaty spoke about Holly’s bond with his son.

"Seeing you show the love you give to the most important person in my life, George, even from day one, there was never a question about you becoming my wife one day," he shared. 

For Peaty, the marriage represents a significant personal chapter. He has been vocal about how Holly supported him through difficult periods in his professional and personal life, and credited her with helping him find peace through faith and community. 

"You fill my heart to the brim and give my soul peace," Peaty previously stated.

"You have been with me when I’ve been at my lowest and helped me understand myself to navigate my own darkness. You have also celebrated the highs which have been so many, as for the first time in my life, I’m happy with the man I’ve become. You came to church with me and joined the incredible community we have there without a question," the Olympian added. 

Holly Ramsay announced her engagement on Instagram

In September 2024, Holly revealed the news on Instagram, sharing three photos of herself flashing a striking oval-cut yellow diamond that took the prestigious UK jeweler Pragnell ten months to meticulously craft. 

In her post's caption, she wrote, "I am marrying my best friend. I truly cannot put into words how I am feeling right now. I still remember how big my smile was the morning I got home from my first date with you."
