MIAMI, FLORIDA: New footage has surfaced, shedding light on the tumultuous relationship between subscription-based creator Courtney Clenney and her late boyfriend, Christian Obumseli.

The video, captured weeks before the tragic incident that led to the boyfriend's death, depicts a heated altercation where the girlfriend is seen physically striking him.

New video shows Courtney Clenney smacking her boyfriend

Clenney already facing charges for Obumseli's murder, is currently awaiting trial for the alleged murder, which occurred in their Miami condo in April 2022. Her legal team contends that she acted in self-defense, while the deceased's family and lawyers argue that she was the aggressor.

In the recently released footage, captured in Aspen, Clenney is shown slapping Obumseli and engaging in a heated argument. The video, filmed by a third party in the room, captures the girlfriend blaming the boyfriend for hindering her progress and sobriety.

Allegedly frustrated with his perceived lack of support and accusing him of flirting with other women, Clenney vocalizes her discontent, stating that she is "fed up." Obumseli, in turn, expresses his finality, claiming he is "done."

Timeline of the altercation remains unclear

It remains unclear when exactly the video was filmed concerning Obumseli's tragic death. Clenney's legal team is currently fighting to block the submission of similar footage as evidence, arguing that she did not consent to the videos being recorded. The admissibility of this footage may play a crucial role in Clenney's trial.

Obumseli's family has long asserted that he experienced emotional and physical abuse during his relationship with Clenney. In a surprising turn, the suspect's lawyers recently presented evidence of another altercation in Las Vegas, where Obumseli allegedly took "clumps of hair" from her. Clenney's attorney, Sabrina Puglisi, claims to have proof, including a security officer's interview and police body camera footage.
