WASHINGTON, DC: The findings of the latest survey by the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), held between March 25 and 28, reveal Trump’s continued strong hold among conservatives. The poll included over 1,600 participants.

A whopping share of 96 per cent of participants said that they approve of Trump’s job as President, while 94 per cent attendees think that Trump is the best President they have seen in their lives.

Respondents strongly support Trump’s policies

Elaborating on what respondents think about Trump’s policies on various fronts, the poll revealed that an overwhelming share of 91 per cent support Trump’s tariff decision aimed at balancing the trade deficit with foreign business partners and boosting American business and work.

Another 89 per cent support Trump's military action in Iran to force Tehran to abandon its nuclear program. The US, in a joint operation with Israel, launched strikes on Iran on February 28, killing the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Ninety-two per cent of participants think that Trump’s decision to arrest the Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro was right. Special US troops, in a classified operation, captured Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, on January 3, 2026, in Caracas, Venezuela.

Trump’s fans worried about domestic cost of Iran war

During the interview at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, many attendees expressed concern over the domestic cost of war with Iran. They said that war is worth it if there is regime change in Iran, no additional forces have to go into the Middle East, there is no rise in crude cost, and if the president ends the war soon.

Kyle Sims, 61, a Republican strategist in Texas, said in an interview that he supports Trump’s handling of the war, but he also raised concerns over the cost at home. “There are some issues in this country I wish we were focused on a little bit more at the same time.”

Leading Republicans also get good numbers

Ninety-two per cent attendees approved of the Vice President, JD Vance’s job, while  House Speaker Mike Johnson received 84 per cent approval rating.

However, only 57 per cent of participants approved of the Senate Majority Leader John Thune.

Marco Rubio, most popular leader

With 42 per cent of respondents agreeing, Secretary of State Marco Rubio is named the most popular among Trump’s cabinet members.

He was followed by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.
