OREM, UTAH: Some furious conservatives are pointing fingers at 'South Park' after the shocking assassination of right-wing firebrand Charlie Kirk on Wednesday, September 10, with many claiming the animated series was partly responsible.

'South Park' has been targeting MAGA’s loudest voices, and Kirk was a recent punchline.

'South Park' mocks Charlie Kirk with parody episode

In the August 6, 2025, episode titled “Got a Nut,” the character Eric Cartman morphed into a Kirk clone, imitating his hairstyle, mannerisms, and college campus debates. The episode ended with the cheeky “Charlie Kirk Award for Young Masterdebaters.”

Kirk spoke out before it aired. “They're going to obviously make fun of me, but I think it's kind of funny and it kind of goes to show the cultural impact and the resonance that our movement has been able to achieve,” he told Fox News.

He even added, “We as conservatives should be able to take a joke, we shouldn't take ourselves so seriously — that's something that the left has always done.”

After the episode dropped, he laughed it off in a video. Kirk chuckled through the parody and even tipped his hat to the show for roasting him.

'South Park' under fire as conservatives link Charlie Kirk parody to assassination

In the wake of Kirk’s death, the 'South Park' jokes are sparking backlash, with critics claiming creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone crossed the line.

“Hate to say it because I was a South Park fan from day 1, but that show should now be cancelled,” one X user wrote.

Another fumed, “You know what, f**k it. Let’s blame South Park. Blame the media. Blame leftist rhetoric. These people hate you and want to see you dead. If they’ll kill Charlie Kirk and piss on his grave, they’ll do it to any of us.”

One person declared, “South Park certainly fomented the hatred necessary to get Kirk assassinated.”

Someone else added, “South Park is also to blame for what happened to Charlie Kirk. Not one ‘Biden’ episode for 4 years. Then, as soon as Trump is in, they literally put him in bed with the devil & add Charlie Kirk to the episode.”

Another flatly declared, “Trey Parker and Matt Stone are responsible for this.”

The account Johnny MAGA shared a clip and fumed, “South Park attacking Charlie Kirk’s college campus events and mocking his Christian faith just a few weeks ago. Monsters.”

One more user predicted, “Well, on the plus side, it looks like 'South Park' is about to be cancelled...”

Trump mourns Charlie Kirk's death

Kirk was just 31 when he was killed at Utah Valley University while hosting the first stop of his “America Comeback Tour.” He was shot once in the neck.

“You try to get your bases covered, and unfortunately, today, we didn’t,” said campus police chief Jeff Long, who confirmed six officers and Kirk’s own security team were present among the 3,000 attendees. “Because of that, we have this tragic incident.”

University spokeswoman Ellen Treanor confirmed that only a single shot was fired.

President Donald Trump mourned the news on Truth Social. “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead,” he wrote. “No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”
