WASHINGTON, DC: Hunter Biden is frequently observed accompanying his father, President Joe Biden, but he is not listed in the White House or Marine One visitor logs, unlike other members of the Biden family, such as the president's brother Frank Biden.

According to the New York Post, the White House has never recorded the names of the first son or other Biden family members in the Marine One visitor logs.

Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House press secretary, stated in a news conference last week that this was "something we've never done."

She went on to say, "This is the family. The family gets to travel with the president, and that's been the case with every other president, and so it's not something that we have done or we would be doing moving forward."

In May of 2021, a White House policy statement committed to "not releasing access records related to purely personal guests of the First and Second Families (ie, visits that do not involve any official or political business)."

However, it appears that Biden's own staff has loosely adhered to this policy after the president promised to lead the "most transparent" administration in US history.

Where did the dispute surrounding the White House and Marine One visitor log begin?

On April 26, 2023, Frank Biden was listed as a guest and noted in visitor logs for a state dinner held at the White House with Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, and his wife, Kim Keon Hee.

A month later, Hunter Biden was also listed as a guest for a state dinner at the White House, this time with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

However, Hunter was not included in the executive mansion's visitor logs for the same date, June 22.

It is unclear why Frank's visit was considered "official or political" while Hunter's was labeled a "purely personal" visit.

Reports suggest that Joe Biden, who is currently 81 years old, warned his brother Frank about "invoking the family name for business purposes" during the 2020 presidential campaign.

President Biden has repeatedly expressed that he had no involvement in his son's business affairs.

Devon Archer, Hunter's former business partner, testified before Congress earlier this year that Joe Biden visited, dined with, and contacted his son's foreign acquaintances both during and after his time as Vice President of the United States.

Several associates were also reported in vice presidential visitor logs at the time, but Hunter was not listed in visitor logs during his presidency.

The first son also attended the annual Easter Egg Roll at the White House twice, as well as two weekend trips to Camp David, a July 4 celebration with fireworks, a Medal of Freedom ceremony, a Christmas tree lighting, and his daughter Naomi's wedding on the South Lawn.

This year's Independence Day visit occurred after Hunter had been staying at the White House for at least two weeks prior to the revelation of his June 20 plea deal on tax and firearms charges, as previously reported by the Washington Post.

Last week, Jean-Pierre said the president was "familiar" with his son's plans to avoid a closed-door deposition on his business dealings from the House Oversight Committee on December 13.

Hunter was also not among the Biden family passengers who returned from Delaware on Marine One on Tuesday after commemorating the 51st anniversary of the vehicular accident that killed the president's wife and daughter.

The House GOP posted on X about the issue.

"Fox News reports that Hunter Biden is currently at the WHite House after being spotted exiting Marine One. He was not on the White House's passenger manifest. What other manifests and visitor logs has Hunter Biden been left off of?" they tweeted.

Internet mocks GOP for bringing up petty charges against Hunter Biden

Many were however not amused at House GOP's post and suggested they "cry harder" for targeting the White House for omitting Hunter Biden on Marine One list.

One X user wrote, "Trump is plagiarising Hitler and you guys are mad at Hunter riding in an airplane."

Another user said, "Do you guys concoct this gaslighting or does someone else like Russia help you?"

Another user stated, "You make something out of nothing. There is nothing to see here, no wrongdoing."

One user remarked, "What are you going to to do about it? They are laughing in your faces".

Another X user said, "OMG, a man goes to visit his father..:::….. Yeah you clearly forgot about Trump had his criminal family in the White House and they are guilty of a Civil crime in NYC".

Finally, this user tweeted: "Why does it matter you're not going to do anything about it?"
