PUNXSUTAWNEY, PENNSYLVANIA: In a chilling turn of events, 20-year-old Dakota Greeley from Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, is now facing new charges related to the brutal murder of his pregnant girlfriend, Trisha Renee Cole.

The unsettling case took a more ominous turn in a recent court appearance in Jefferson County, where authorities disclosed disturbing details leading to the amended charges.

Greeley, reportedly unhappy upon learning about the pregnancy during a doctor's visit, allegedly posed the chilling question, "Can we kill it now?"

Greeley, initially arrested in connection with Cole's shooting death on November 9 in Clover Township, saw a shift in his legal status during a recent preliminary hearing. Law enforcement disclosed that his initial charges were withdrawn, paving the way for a more severe set of charges.

The amended charges against Greeley include criminal homicide, murder, homicide of an unborn child, two counts of murder of an unborn child, and abuse of a corpse. Online records indicate that these charges have been bound for court.

According to an updated affidavit, investigators unveiled disturbing details about the incident. In addition to the shooting, Greeley is now accused of running over Cole's lifeless body after the fatal shooting, as per CBS.

A subsequent autopsy confirmed that the victim was pregnant at the time of her tragic death.
