Daniel N Anderson: Man with mental illness kills woman, threatens bombing after argument with father

CHESTERFIELD, MISSOURI: According to Chesterfield Police, a woman was struck and fatally injured while walking in her neighborhood in Chesterfield County.
The driver involved, identified as 22-year-old Daniel N Anderson was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
One of the victims has been identified as Shaunda Bizzell while the second pedestrian survived as per WTVR.
Importantly, this tragic incident occurred following a heated argument between Anderson and his unidentified father.
What did Daniel Anderson do?
On Monday night, shortly before 7 p.m., tragedy struck in the Amherst neighborhood off Route 1.
According to police reports, Daniel N Anderson contacted the Emergency Communications Center (ECC), where he identified himself and made several threatening remarks, including threats to bomb a school and assault police officers.
A spokesperson from the Chesterfield Police, in an email statement, explained, "When officers arrived on Amherst Ridge Loop, they found that a motor vehicle crash had occurred involving a 2012 Hyundai and two pedestrians. Officers quickly determined that the driver of the vehicle, identified as Anderson, was the same man who had called the ECC and made threatening statements."
The statement continued, "Anderson, who was not injured, was detained at the scene. The pedestrians were transported to an area hospital."
Shaunda Bizzell dies at hospital after being injured in vehicle crash
Shaunda Bizzell, 42, residing in the 16700 block of Amherst Ridge Place, died at the hospital, as confirmed by the police.
She was remembered by her family as a compassionate individual, and she was walking with her husband at the time of the incident.
What did the defendant’s father report?
The preliminary investigation suggested that Anderson intentionally drove his vehicle toward the pedestrians.
Consequently, he was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, malicious wounding, making threats of death or bodily injury, and making threats to bomb or damage buildings.
Anderson's father disclosed that his son has a documented history of mental health disorder and experienced an episode earlier that day.
They argued before Anderson left their home, although his father was unaware that Anderson had taken the car keys with him.
He expressed his devastation over the loss of Shaunda Bizzell's life in the tragic incident.
