Davido and Karen Koep were assumed to be dead because of the extensive amount of blood found at their residence
Deputies responded to a distressing call regarding the discovery of a body off Stedman Road SE. The initial findings were confirmed, intensifying the investigation.
Subsequently, another body was unearthed, further deepening the distressing nature of the case.
Law enforcement officials at the scene expressed their belief that the bodies discovered are likely those of the missing couple, stating, "Detectives responded to the scene to investigate the discovery, and sadly, we believe Davido and Karen Koep have been located based on the preliminary investigation."
The bodies weren't found right away, but it was assumed that the missing couple had died because there was an extensive amount of blood at their residence, making survival highly improbable.
Timothy Burke stands accused of murdering Davido and Karen Koep
Timothy Burke, 45, was arrested on November 18 and charged for allegedly murdering the couple. The case involves a disturbing sequence of events, including alleged negative emails penned by Burke about Davido, who owned the property where he resided.
Details emerging from the investigation shed light on compelling evidence against Burke. Authorities disclosed the discovery of shell casings from his .45-caliber gun within the couple's home, strengthening the case against him.
Thurston County Deputy Prosecutor Jennifer Lord highlighted the presence of blood in both Burke's and Koep's respective vehicles. Moreover, blood found in the couple's garage reportedly aligned with the space a car trunk would occupy.
