Democratic election commissioner sets Internet abuzz over claim Trump 'paying people to attend rally'
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Tennessee Democratic election commissioner Chris D Jackson accused former President Donald Trump of paying people to attend his rally, presenting alleged evidence to prove the same.
Jackson, who previously criticized Hungary's authoritarian leader Viktor Orban's endorsement of Trump, took to his social media account to share the screenshot of a Craigslist posting that offered payment for attending the Republican presumptive nominee's June 9 MAGA rally in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to Raw Story.
However, it remains unclear who made the alleged payment.
Chris D Jackson shares alleged Craigslist ad seeking attendees for Trump's rally
"BREAKING: Trump Caught Paying People to Attend Rally," read the Democrat's X post on Sunday, June 9.
Jackson claimed that he found a Craigslist ad that offered payment to people to participate in the former president's rally in Sin City. He attempted to substantiate the allegation, citing a recent video of Trump where he waved at a nonexistent crowd.
"It appears EVERYTHING IS A FACADE. The media wants you to think Trump has enthusiasm, but the facts say otherwise," the Democratic election commissioner argued.
The screenshot of the Craigslist posting he shared said it was seeking someone to attend Trump's rally at Sunset Park. Further, the ad mentioned that it was a marketing promo that required people to wear a brand shirt and carry a sign.
"Bonus payment ($50) if you end up on broadcast!" the online advertisement continued, adding, "Picking up shirts/signs + attending event estimated at a total of 3-4 hours of work. $75 flat payment + $50 potential bonus. We ask that you take photos of the event for confirmation and marketing purposes."

A Craigslist ad has been found offering payment for people to attend Trump's rally in Las Vegas today.

However, there is no concrete evidence to prove that the former president or someone from his campaign team paid people to attend his rally during the blistering temperature.
The Las Vegas rally was Trump's first mass event in the Silver State after he was found guilty in the New York hush money trial last month.
The MAGA spearhead pushed for his White House dream to voters of Nevada, a swing state that Joe Biden won in 2020. In an attempt to seek the support of service workers, he promised to remove taxation on income from tips if elected in November.
Internet debates claim of Trump paying people to attend his rally
A group of netizens jumped in, mocking the former president for allegedly paying people to attend his rally. However, another group called out Jackson, doubting the authenticity of the evidence he provided, and argued that Trump would never have to pay anyone for support.
A user wrote, "He is so weak he applauds himself. That is so déclassé."
Another blasted the accusation, writing, "This is bulls**t The Trump campaign did not post this. It's likely a company trying to get visibility for their brand. You really think they have a hard time getting Trump supporters to appear on camera? You make zero sense."
This is bullshit.

The Trump campaign did not post this.
It’s likely a company trying to get visibility for their brand.
You really think they have a hard time getting Trump supporters to appear on camera?
You make zero sense.
A third user quipped, "Yes, but do they actually get paid? You don't think the former president would slip out of town without paying, do you?" While one response read, "There’s NO EVIDENCE that this ad is associated with the Trump Campaign. Could easily be a merchant."
Yes, but do they actually get paid? You don't think the former president would slip out of town without paying, do you? 🤣

Another said, "Would that be election interference? Paying actors to pretend to be supporters so that it looks like he has more supporters? Seems fraudulent adjacent at least."
Someone else claimed, "He doesn't have to pay people to attend his rallies and let Joe know he should pay more because he only gets about 10 people!"

"How embarrassing," an individual wrote. Whereas, another remark read, "Just so you know some facts, anyone can post anything on Craig’s list, with no verification, second, you should know, it was unknown product company, promotion a new shirt, and the very first part of the sentence in the article says SOME PEOPLE, to wear their shirt an take pics."
