Sheriff Parnell McNamara described the victims as having been "gunned down in cold blood."
Bridgers, the primary suspect, was apprehended in Waco around 5 am the same morning.
According to reports from the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call around 3 am on April 10. They discovered the bodies of a man and a woman, identified as Bridgers' parents, inside the home.
Details from an arrest warrant obtained by KWTX shed light on the chilling events leading up to the tragedy.
The warrant includes transcribed portions of a 911 call made by Bridgers' mother, wherein Bridgers can be heard engaged in a heated exchange with her.

Bridgers is heard screaming, “Did you really do that? You called the cops on your son again,” stated the warrant.
The 911 call operator heard the suspect refusing to relinquish a firearm and issuing ominous threats before shots were fired.
The victim could be repeatedly heard saying, “Give me the gun.”
“I’m not going to shoot anyone else,” Bridgers responds. The victim remarks, “Give me the gun, you’re losing control,” per KWTX.
Investigators further wrote in the warrant, "At that time, you can hear (Bridgers) chamber a round in the firearm and the victim yells, ‘Dillon,’ and then you hear a gunshot and someone fall and moan. (Bridgers) states, ‘yeah,’ and then fires two more shots."
Despite fleeing the scene before authorities arrived, Bridgers called 911 to confess to the shooting, according to the warrant.
He is currently held without bond at the McLennan County Jail pending further legal proceedings. The victims' names have not been released to the public.
