WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Saturday, August 9, to launch a fierce attack on former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her husband, Paul Pelosi.

The Republican leader accused the couple of exploiting insider information to outperform Wall Street’s top hedge fund managers.

Donald Trump wrote, “Crooked Nancy Pelosi, and her very 'interesting' husband, beat every Hedge Fund in 2024. In other words, these two very average ‘minds’ beat ALL of the Super Geniuses on Wall Street, thousands of them. It’s all INSIDE iNFORMATION!"

“Is anybody looking into this??? She is a disgusting degenerate, who Impeached me twice, on NO GROUNDS, and LOST! How are you feeling now, Nancy???” he added.

Pelosi has been criticized by political rivals for her husband’s stock trading activities, but she has consistently denied any misconduct, and no formal charges have been filed.

Just days prior, Pelosi publicly backed Senator Josh Hawley’s (R-MO) legislation aimed at banning members of Congress, the president, and the vice president from trading stocks. Initially dubbed the PELOSI Act, the bill was later renamed the HONEST Act.

The 85-year-old has long been criticized for her own lucrative stock portfolio, earning her the nickname “queen of political stock trading.”

A popular app, Autopilot, tracks her trades, and a dedicated X (formerly Twitter) account covering her stock activities has amassed over a million followers.

Pelosi dismissed the insider trading allegations as “ridiculous” during a recent CNN interview. “The American people deserve confidence that their elected leaders are serving the public interest — not their personal portfolios,” she said.

Trump’s public accusations have caught the attention of financial markets, with analysts warning that such high-profile claims could cause short-term fluctuations, particularly in financial stocks and sectors tied to hedge funds.

President Donald Trump’s accusation that former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi used insider knowledge to profit from the stock market has sparked a flood of charged reactions online, with many highlighting his claims and calling for action.

Several users demanded that Pelosi face legal consequences, with one bluntly writing, “Nancy Pelosi is a crook!!!!” Another demanded, “Arrest that Traitor and cheat!”

“Donald Trump’s coming for Nancy. I don’t think the cameras, the fake media, are going to cover this up, can’t outsmart the man that knows everything,” a person claimed.

“Take her down President Trump!! Make her feel it,” another urged.

“Of the millions of words that have described Nancy Pelosi over the last 60 years, ‘you are a disgusting degenerate’ are the most accurate,” a Trump supporter wrote.

A person also called for the arrest of Paul, writing, “Mr. Pelosi should be arrested as well.”
