Dolly Parton shares health update after missing Dollywood event: 'I'm still healing'
PIGEON FORGE, TENNESSEE: Dolly Parton has finally shared an update on her health. The 'I will always love you' singer revealed that she has been going through “hard times” with her health but is now healing.
She said she is dealing with health issues that “I just didn’t pay attention to when I was watching over Carl.” A week earlier, Parton joined the Dollywood event virtually rather than appearing in person at the Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, amusement park.

During an interview with PEOPLE, Parton shared that she feels her recent health situation has received far more attention than expected.
She said, “But I think because we live in a 24/7 world with social media, everything gets magnified in ways it wasn’t years ago. I used to joke that I was the Queen of the Tabloids, but now I guess I can say I’m the Queen of Social Media AI!”
Parton indicated that she is on the mend. “Seriously, though, even though I’m still healin’, I’m still workin’,” she said.

She also skipped her 80th birthday celebration in January. Parton has faced personal losses as well.
For those unaware, her husband, Carl Dean, died at the age of 82, prompting her to take a step back from the spotlight and music to mourn. She also lost her brother, Coy “Denver” Parton, who died on July 23.
