WASHINGTON, DC: Following former President Donald Trump's remark on Monday, March 18, that "any Jewish person that votes for Democrats hates their religion," the White House released a statement denouncing "vile and unhinged antisemitic rhetoric," as per Mediate.

Trump was questioned about the mounting criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from prominent Democrats, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), during an interview on Seb Gorka's America First podcast.

White House calls out Donald Trump for saying Democrats 'hate Israel'

Trump replied during the podcast, "I actually think they hate Israel. The Democrat party hates Israel."

He added, "Any Jewish person that votes for Democrats hates their religion. They hate everything about Israel and they should be ashamed of themselves because Israel would be destroyed."

In response to Trump's comments, White House spokesman Andrew Bates stated in a statement to Mediaite, "President Biden has put his foot down when it comes to vile and unhinged antisemitic rhetoric. As antisemitic crimes and acts of hate have increased across the world – among them the deadliest attack committed against the Jewish people since the Holocaust – leaders have an obligation to call hate what it is and bring Americans together against it."

He added, "There is no justification for spreading toxic, false stereotypes that threaten fellow citizens. None. Like President Biden said, he was moved to run for President when he saw Neo Nazis chanting ‘the same Antisemitic bile that was heard in Germany in the 1930s’ in Charlottesville."

"He will never give hate any safe harbor, including today," he concluded.

Internet says White House needs to call out Trump 'each and every time'

Several people on the internet sided with the statement made by White House in reply to Donald Trump. A user wrote on X, "Very good they need to do this each and every time!" while one added, "Did Trump's son-in-law coach him to say that?!"

A user also wrote, "Only a president like Ronald Wilson Reagan can make America great again, not Trump" while one mentioned, "Trump please don't use religion card No state is made of any religion In a free state people of all religions live and everyone has the same voting status."

A person also wrote, "They are absolutely right. He is disgusting."
