BOZEMAN, MONTANA: GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump accused Vice President Kamala Harris and his running mate Tim Walz of running on a "fake record" at his Montana rally on Friday, August 9.

It was Trump’s first rally since Harris officially secured the Democratic nomination and selected Walz as her running mate. These moves have recharged Democrats and knocked the former president out of the headlines for a few days, according to the New York Post.

Donald Trump slams Kamala Harris and Tim Walz at Montana rally

Donald Trump took a jab at Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz during the rally, "So when you’re commander in chief, you don’t go to the run and hide away from the press. You know, they run and they wanna go on a record that’s a fake record. They have a fake record, both of them," he said.

Trump further slammed Harris and Walz and said if they win the election, "the people cheering will be the pink-haired Marxists, the looters, the perverts, the flag burners, Hamas supporters, drug dealers, gun-grabbers and human traffickers."

He added, "But I’m not talking about him, I’m talking about her. This is her ideology. That’s why she picked him."

He also said during the rally that he didn’t care if he mispronounced Harris’ name and claimed without elaborating that "nobody really knows her last name".

He said, "Kamala, sometimes referred to as Kamala, you know, she’s got about nine different ways of pronouncing the name. And because the press is so dishonest, no matter how you say it, they’ll say you were wrong. You were wrong. I don’t care if I get it right. Actually, I couldn’t care less."

Trump’s running mate JD Vance has closely mirrored the Harris-Walz campaign’s schedule and visited many of the same states in what he said was an effort to raise the contrast between the two.

Vance criticized Walz of "stolen valor" for the language that he used during a speech in 2018 while advocating an assault weapons ban, which the Harris campaign included in a video on social media, CNN reported.

During that time, Walz said he wanted to "make sure that those weapons of war, that I carried in war, is the only place where those weapons are at."

However, he never deployed to Afghanistan, Iraq, or a combat zone as part of his service.
