WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump and his allies have long pushed the narrative that Democratic officials are intentionally allowing illegal immigrants to "replace" the existing voting population.

The former president has been lately claiming that the supposed "invasion" is specifically targeting Black Americans and that "the Black population is going to die" without his immigration policies.

Donald Trump says illegal immigrants are going to 'decimate' Black people

In an interview with Bloomberg on Tuesday, July 16, Donald Trump stated, "The Black people are going to be decimated by the millions of people that are coming into the country. There will never be a decimation like this, and they’re already feeling it. Their wages have gone way down. Their jobs are being taken by the migrants coming in illegally into the country."

He emphasized, "The Black population in this country is going to die because of what’s happened, what’s going to happen to their jobs — their jobs, their housing, everything. I want to stop that... They’re taking everything."

Trump outlined his plan to protect Black Americans, which involves stopping "20 million people from coming into the country that’ll work for one-third what they’re working for." He implied that President Joe Biden's administration aims to replace Black Americans in the workforce with illegal immigrants.

"They’re all losing their jobs. It’s not a story yet, but it will be. Does that make sense to you?" asked Trump, before noting, "It’s a terrible thing that’s happened, and they are affected more than anybody. And they know that I don’t want this to happen. They know because many of them lost jobs already. They know that I don’t want it to happen and Biden does want it to happen."

The GOP presidential nominee has repeatedly touted his administration’s achievements for Black Americans, including the lowest Black unemployment and poverty rates in history.

While speaking at the NAACP's 115th National Convention in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Biden denied these claims, saying Trump was "lying like hell" about achieving record-low Black unemployment.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment gains since 2018 have primarily come from naturalized citizens and legal residents, not illegal immigrants. This data contradicts Trump’s assertion that illegal immigrants are taking away jobs from Black Americans.

Donald Trump's controversial campaign rhetoric

Donald Trump's campaign speeches have frequently included the allegation that other countries are "emptying out mental institutions and prisons to poison the blood of our country."

During the first presidential debate of the current election cycle, the GOP nominee claimed that illegal immigrants are "taking Black jobs," predicting a dire future. He warned, "You’re going to see something that’s going to be the worst in our history."

President Biden responded to Trump’s rhetoric at the NAACP convention, highlighting notable Black Americans in history and his administration.

'''Black jobs' I love this phrase," said the presumptive Democratic nominee, adding, "Tells us a lot about the man and his character. Folks, I know what a Black job is. It’s the vice president of the United States," referring to Vice President Kamala Harris.

"I know what a Black job is. The first Black president in American history, Barack Obama... I nominated the first Black woman to the United States Supreme Court. It matters," added the POTUS.

Trump’s immigration narrative is intertwined with his repeated claims that elections are "rigged" against him. Standing next to House Speaker Mike Johnson at Mar-a-Lago in April, Trump declared, "We have an election problem" and called for the US-Mexico border to be "closed."

He alleged, "Millions and millions are pouring in that no one’s reporting. Some are terrorists… They come from jails and prisons, they come from mental institutions and insane asylums. They come from all over the world."

Trump has also endorsed a House measure to ban noncitizens from voting, despite this already being illegal, as reported by The Independent.

Internet slams Donald Trump as he says Black Americans are 'going to die' because migrants are taking their jobs

Donald Trump's rhetoric of illegal immigrants taking "Black jobs" didn't sit well with netizens.

One wrote, "TFG wants the black vote so badly he will lie to get it. Absolute nonsense is the best he can come with," and another said, "Black people, this is how and what Trump's racist a** thinks and feels about us. F**k Trump and MAGA."

"We survived the middle passage and slavery. We're seeds; we don't die, we multiply," read a comment.

An individual expressed, "This is what Trump thinks about Black people They should take low-end jobs and don’t look up you are not going anywhere but down," while one more wrote, "Well then, Trump. Give us our Reparations and you won't have to worry about it."
