WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump vehemently defended his administration’s move to block Harvard's ability to enroll international students, claiming that the majority of foreign students at the university come from nations that pay nothing for their education.

In a Truth Social post, the 78-year-old president said it is unacceptable that 31 percent of the students at the prestigious Ivy League school are "from foreign lands."

Trump’s attack came as Harvard filed a lawsuit against his administration for trying to revoke its right to enroll foreign students.

Donald Trump demands 'names and countries' of all foreign students at Harvard

Amid the ongoing feud with Harvard, Donald Trump demanded to know all of the names and countries of origin of all nearly 7,000 foreign-born students attending the university, according to Fox News.

"Why isn’t Harvard saying that almost 31% of their students are from FOREIGN LANDS, and yet those countries, some not at all friendly to the United States, pay NOTHING toward their students’ education, nor do they ever intend to. Nobody told us that!" the commander-in-chief wrote in a post on Sunday, May 25.

"We want to know who those foreign students are, a reasonable request since we give Harvard BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, but Harvard isn’t exactly forthcoming. We want those names and countries. Harvard has $52,000,000, use it, and stop asking for the Federal Government to continue GRANTING money to you!" he continued.

Judge blocks Trump administration from cancelling Harvard's student visa program

Earlier this month, the Department of Homeland Security announced the suspension of Harvard's ability to host and enroll international students.

Following the cancellation, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem published a letter she issued to the Ivy League university last week, instructing hundreds of existing students to either transfer to other schools or leave the country.

Noem claimed the punishment is in response to the Trump administration's assertions that Harvard encouraged antisemitism and collaborated with the Chinese Communist Party to allow students to live in the nation on academic visas, according to the Daily Mail.

However, DHS’s move failed after a judge blocked the administration from cancelling Harvard's student visa program following the university’s lawsuit against the government.

In its court filing, Harvard argued that the administration's effort is a "blatant violation of the First Amendment, the Due Process Clause, and the Administrative Procedure Act."

"It is the latest act by the government in clear retaliation for Harvard exercising its First Amendment rights to reject the government’s demands to control Harvard’s governance, curriculum, and the 'ideology' of its faculty and students," Harvard wrote in its complaint.

Donald Trump threatens to take away Harvard’s $3 billion grant

Following the court ruling, Donald Trump threatened to take away Harvard’s $3 billion grant as he accused the university of being "very slow" to turn over information on foreign students.

"We are still waiting for the Foreign Student Lists from Harvard so that we can determine, after a ridiculous expenditure of BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, how many radicalized lunatics, troublemakers all, should not be let back into our Country," Trump wrote on Truth Social on Monday.

"Harvard is very slow in the presentation of these documents, and probably for good reason! The best thing Harvard has going for it is that they have shopped around and found the absolute best Judge (for them!) - But have no fear, the Government will, in the end, WIN!" the MAGA leader continued.

In a separate post, Trump added, "I am considering taking Three Billion Dollars of Grant Money away from a very antisemitic Harvard, and giving it to TRADE SCHOOLS all across our land."
