WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump has been accused of suffering from dementia after he seemingly said "Tesler" instead of Tesla multiple times while speaking at the White House about the increased attacks on the company's cybertrucks.

Referring to Elon Musk, he said, “He's an American patriot,” as reported by Ok! Magazine.

“The way he’s been treated with Tesler is just terrible. In fact, you have a Tesler. A lot of people are buying Teslers,” the president appeared to say while referring to Musk’s Tesla.

“He should not be treated that way. He's done an incredible service,” Trump added.

Netizens call Trump ‘Dementia Don’

But people on X were more interested in the Republican leader’s apparent mispronunciation of the automotive company.

An individual sarcastically wrote, “In calling it Tesler for the rest of my life.”

Another individual joked, “At this point, it'll be easier for Elon to officially change the company's name to ‘Tesler’ than to get Trump to pronounce it correctly.”

“He can't even pronounce your brand right, @elonmusk You must not have paid him enough yet,” the third one wrote.

A tweet read, “Dementia Don.”

Another tweet said, “This isn't some new car company JFC. He is unwell if he's still calling it by the wrong name.”

“He seems medicated. To keep him compliant for his handlers?” an X user speculated.

The second X user wrote, “Why can’t he articulate, read, think critically, or keep his diaper clean?”

“Memory disease…” a person added.

One user said, “I thought he was trying to be 'funny' with it at first. Now, not so much.”

Stephen Colbert made fun of Trump after he said 'I love Tesler'

This was not the first time Donald Trump apparently called Tesla "Tesler".

Last month, he claimed to buy a Tesla vehicle as he showed support to Musk, who has been facing criticism for chairing the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Sitting inside a red Tesla Model S, the 78-year-old said, "I love Tesla," as per AP.

The commander-in-chief also noted, as per The Hill, “I’m going to buy because number one, it’s a great product. As good as it gets. Number two, because this man [Elon Musk] has devoted his energy and his life to doing this, and I think he has been treated unfairly.”

Comedian Stephen Colbert, however, pointed out that Trump had called Tesla “Tesler” while backing Musk and his company.

The ‘Late Show’ host said, “He almost got the name right,” before sarcastically adding, “It’s an honest mistake. He just mixed up the two words most associated with Elon Musk: Tesla and Hitler,” as reported by the HuffPost.
