WASHINGTON, DC: GOP nominee Donald Trump stepped up his attack on his Democratic counterpart Kamala Harris by mispelling her name twice in as many social media posts on Monday, August 5, reported Mediaite.

Since incumbent Joe Biden suspended his reelection campaign and Harris took his spot at the top of the Democratic ticket, she has faced increasing criticism from Trump and his Republican followers.

The jibes have long overstepped the professional boundary and turned personal, as Trump had even ended up questioning Harris' ethnicity during his appearance at the National Association of Black Journalists convention in Chicago on July 31.

Donald Trump's new nickname for Kamala Harris

In two successive posts on his social media platform Truth Social, former President Trump misspelled Harris' first name as 'Kamabla.'

"People vote with their STOMACH, and food is now at an all time high because of Kamabla/Biden INCOMPETENCE. With them in charge, IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE!" he wrote in the first post.

"Kamabla has stated, over and over again, that she wants to DEFUND THE POLICE AND, WITHOUT QUESTION, BAN FRACKING. 'NO MORE FOSSIL FUEL.' This will quadruple the cost of energy in America! DEPRESSION ANYONE!" he shared in the second post.

Donald Trump's previous mockery of Kamala Harris' name

Trump had butchered the vice president's name previously as well. While delivering an address at the Turning Point USA Believers Summit in West Palm Beach, Florida, on July 26, he stated that there were multiple ways to pronounce his political rival's name, but he could not be bothered about them.

A video clip of the moment was uploaded on X (formerly Twitter), where Trump is seen saying, "By the way, there are numerous ways of saying her name. They were explaining to me, ‘You can say Ka-ma-la. You can say Ka-maaa-la.' I said don’t worry about it. It doesn’t matter what I say. If I mispronounce it or not, I couldn't care less. Some people think I mispronounce it on purpose, but actually I heard it said about seven different ways. There are a lot of ways."

Internet trolls Trump for his juvenile attack on Harris

Netizens reacting to Trump's nickname for the vice president on the Mediaite website called out the former President for resorting to childish ploys to take on his political rival. The following comments demonstrate the prevalent take.

"Wow that will surely get her," mocked a person.

"Many are saying the best way to counteract polling suggesting roughly half the population views you as mentally unfit to run the country, is to try more kindergarten insults," jibed another.

"Harris has truly made him lose his mind. What is this? Beyond pathetic," wrote a third.

"'Hehehehe. I misspell things! That makes me smart,'" trolled a fourth.

"Using name-calling is so childish, but then Trump has the mind of an 8-year-old," shared a fifth.

"Trump is a complete weirdo. That's all you need to know!" quipped another.

"Trump quickly degenerating into baby babble," chided a seventh.
