ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Former president Donald Trump confessed to the people of Atlanta that he has a "bad trait" - he only likes people who "like" him. He said this during a rally on Saturday, August 3.

GOP presidential nominee Trump and his running mate, Senator JD Vance of Ohio, campaigned in the same Atlanta arena where Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris held an event last week, according to the New York Times.

Donald Trump opens up about his 'bad trait'

As Donald Trump campaigned in the key swing state of Georgia, he recalled that Bruce Springsteen had performed at a rally for Hillary Clinton in 2016.

He said, "Bruce Springsteen. I am not a huge fan. I have a bad trait. I only like people who like me. Does that make sense?"

Moreover, during the rally, the former president stumbled over phrases, sparking speculation about his cognitive abilities. He slurred and mispronounced "wrecking" as "reckting", "mobs" as "marbs" and "place" instead of "police" before correcting himself, as per Newsweek.

He said, "Together we will stop Kamala Harris' nation reckting...I'll tell you what..."

He added, "She will not stop, she said she was endorsing defund the place, and, the police, and she said violent marbs, let the violent mobs keep going."

Trump also said about Harris, "She happens to be a really low IQ individual. We don’t need a low IQ individual. They love dealing with low IQ individuals … She’s Bernie Sanders but not as smart."

Trump railed against Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and said the governor was hampering his efforts to win the battleground state in November.

He said, "In my opinion, they want us to lose." Trump also accused the secretary of state, Brad Raffensperger, a Republican, of being disloyal and trying to make life difficult for him.

Notably, Trump lost to President Joe Biden by around 12,000 votes in Georgia in 2020. In 2023, he was indicted by an Atlanta grand jury on charges related to his efforts to overturn the results of the election in Georgia.

Internet calls Donald Trump 'narcissist'

Several people on the internet slammed Donald Trump after he said he only liked people who like him.

A user wrote on X, "This is the first time I’m actually watching one of these. Is he always this boring?" while one added, "'I have a bad trait: I fit the definition of a narcissist. Is that bad?'"

A person also stated, "Yeah. Narcissistic people are usually like that", whereas one mentioned, "Perfect sense. If you’re a narcissistic POS. #TrumpIsWeirdAF."

A user also wrote, "Kamala looking better with every word" while one commented, "Well 99.99% of the world hates you."

A person added, "I only like people that like me is probably the most honest thing he has ever said.

Another tweet read, "He only likes people that pay fealty to him."
