ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Former president Donald Trump warned the people of Atlanta on Saturday, August 3, that if Vice President Kamala Harris wins the election in November, the travesty that is taking place at the 2024 Paris Olympics will follow its way to the US.

Trump spoke to a crowded venue in downtown Atlanta on Saturday, with hundreds of people either waiting outside in the Georgia heat to get inside or protesting his visit to a city he has frequently derided.

During the rally, Donald Trump told the crowd, "If Kamala Harris gets in, the travesty that is taking place at the Paris Olympics will come to America when we host the Los Angeles Olympics. By the way, I got it when I was the President and I also got the World Cup which will be coming very soon."

Harris faced criticism after her campaign and the White House remained silent when contacted by Fox News about whether they support biologically male, intersex, or trans athletes competing against biological females at the Olympics.

The controversy at the 2024 Paris Olympics was over Algerian fighter Imane Khelif, who was caught in the middle of a gender eligibility debate after their opponent, Italian boxer Angela Carini, decided to quit the match 46 seconds in due to the impact of the punch.

Moreover, former swimmer Riley Gaines also slammed Harris for staying quiet over the Olympic boxing gender row and added that she represents a "vote against your daughter's future."

Riley Gaines said during Fox News' 'Jesse Waters Primetime' show, "Crickets from Kamala, crickets from the women at 'The View'. And if I could implore you, a vote for Kamala is a vote against your daughter’s future."

The former president also proposed to debate Harris on Fox News on September 4. However, the Harris campaign said that Trump was trying to back out of a debate that had already been set to run on ABC.

Moreover, during the rally, Trump also attacked Georgia’s Republican Governor Brian Kemp, whom he continuously called "disloyal". Kemp has become a prominent target for the former president for the last few years since he decided to certify Georgia's 2020 election results.

After Trump's address, the Harris campaign released a statement from Geoff Duncan, the Republican lieutenant governor of Georgia who served as Trump's strident critic from 2019 to 2023.

Duncan said, "If you were able to see through Donald Trump's incoherence and vindictiveness tonight, you saw a Donald Trump who does not care about uniting this country or speaking to the voters who will decide this election."
